Proud Family, they’ll make you scream! And fans of the classic cartoon series (well, classic for ’90s and millennial kids, anyway), will be screaming too once they hear the good news. A new “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” series has been announced for Disney+. Check out all of the details below.
Disney+ is bringing back The Proud Family for an all-new series, featuring returning performances by the cast like Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, Jo Marie Payton as Suga Mama, Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones, Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer and Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez, and Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby Proud.
The series is currently in production at Disney Television Animation, led by creator and executive producer Bruce W. Smith, teamed with executive producer Ralph Farguhar. Also returning is Calvin Brown, Jr. as co-executive producer and story editor.
“In our minds, the show never really went away, as we still had tons of stories left to tell,” said Farquhar and Smith. “It’s the perfect time to bring back this show, and we can’t wait to take fans, old and new alike, on this journey with us.”
There is no premiere date set for the new series, but in the meantime, you can catch the full series of The Proud Family on Disney+.
