Lights! Music! MUPPETS! Disney+ took to Twitter to share a new “Muppets Now” original series will be coming to Disney+ on July 31! Check out the original tweet here. PLUS – the Muppets of course couldn’t just let the announcement be good enough. They started arguing over the key art! Check out their silly tweets below:
The original announcement and the “official” key art:
Lights! Music! Muppets! …Unscripted! Get ready to see your favorite characters like never before in #MuppetsNow, an Original Series, coming July 31 only on #DisneyPlus. #DisneyBundle
Of course, Fozzie Bear tweeted a reply about the key art with a “wocka wocka” joke! Gonzo the Great chimes in as well:
Fozzie Bear:
Oh, we went with THAT #MuppetsNow key art? I’ve got something way funnier! Get it? KEY art? Ahhhhh! #WockaWocka!
Gonzo:
Wait, I thought we were going with this #MuppetsNow key art! Didn’t we all agree it needs more chickens?? And more exploding socks… and, of course, lava spiders.
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Pepe the King even added to the mix on what the key art should have looked like in their opinion:
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew:
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew here. My research shows that using this #MuppetsNow art would yield impressive results. After all, it was created by Muppet Labs, where the future of key art is being made today!
Pepe The King Prawn:
Dios mio, you gotta be kidding me! No Pepé in any of this #MuppetsNow key art?? Unbelievable, okay! Lucky for you, I’ve mastered Photoshop after watching one video on YouTubes. See for yourself…
And finally, Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog have their ideas of what the key art should have been:
Miss Piggy:
Puh-lease! We all know why people will watch #MuppetsNow, so why hide it? Ta-da! Some perfectly chic, simply stunning, positively MOI key art!
Kermit The Frog:
Good grief. Sorry about this, @DisneyPlus. Don’t worry, we love the #MuppetsNow key art! Though, if you’re looking for my suggestion, I was always partial to this one… I cleaned my banjo right before the photo was taken.
Even though the Muppets can’t seem to decide on the right key art for the new “Muppets Now” original series, we hope they’ll pull themselves together before it becomes available on July 31 in the U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
