Yesterday was a historic day here in the United States. The 46th President, Joe Biden, has been sworn into office on January 20, 2021. While we awoke to find Magic Kingdom’s Hall of Presidents closed for refurbishment, we are also learning that a Disney World spokesperson has confirmed the 46th President will be joining The Hall of Presidents, debunking a Muppets rumor.
If you hadn’t heard, there was a rumor floating around that The Hall of Presidents could be replaced by a Muppets attraction. There was absolutely no source and no word from Disney that this rumor would be brought to fruition. As shared by OrlandoSentinel: “A Disney World spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday morning (Jan. 20) that the attraction will be updated with a Biden figure.” Thankfully, this debunks the Muppets rumor.
So, when will The Hall of Presidents reopen? For Trump’s Presidency, the attraction closed in January 2017 for refurbishment and reopened in December 2017 with the update of the 45th President and other show enhancements. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as we learn more about when The Hall of Presidents may reopen with the 46th President.
