Since the opening of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, all guests, including those on a VIP tour, were required to obtain a boarding group to experience the attraction. Starting July 11, VIP Tour guests will no longer need boarding groups and will be escorted right on to the popular ride.
The Rise of the Resistance boarding group system is notoriously complicated. Even though Disney is continually tweaking the system to improve it, guests may see the appeal in paying extra to ensure their party will get to ride.
