TikTok Creator Receives Backlash After Sharing Disney Parks Hack

Via InsideTheMagic.net

With more and more people creating content related to Disney Parks across all sorts of platforms, it’s no wonder everyone wants to get the latest scoop or come up with the best tips for their audience.

However, one content creator recently received a response quite different from what she would have expected on one of her videos.

Bethy Hamilton (@bethyhamilton) recently shared on TikTok a Disney World tip “no one wants to tell you because it’s that good.” In her video, she mentions how she always wants a snack at the end of the night and explains that Guests can place mobile orders at select locations to be picked up even after official Park closing hours, which is perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings.

And although this is acceptable and authorized by Disney, many viewers were surprisingly unhappy with this hack. Some commented that Bethy shouldn’t be posting this information, as Guests would take advantage and force Cast Members to work extra hours, while others shared that doing this was plain rude in their opinion. One Cast Member even mentioned that seeing the number of comments worried about Disney’s Cast Members warmed her heart.

However, Bethy and other Cast Members, both former and current, assured that Cast Members are already scheduled past closing and that, contrary to what many viewers initially thought, making use of this tip would not cause anyone to stay extra hours. Quite the contrary, it would allow Guests to enjoy an almost empty Park and a delicious snack to end their day.

With over 45 thousand views on this video, we’re sure more Guests will put this Disney World tip to the test, resting assured that Cast Members will not have to work extra hours to accommodate Guests’ late-night cravings.

Hero Guest Puts Out Fire at Disney Park

Via DisDining.com

When you visit a Disney Park, there are a number of things you come to expect. Many people expect great food, incredible rides, and some truly stunning parades and shows. Over the years, Disney has worked incredibly hard to create truly magical experiences, and it shows. One thing you may not expect to see is a fire. I don’t mean shows that incorporate fires into their design. I am talking about an accidental fire that begins to burn and will only get worse if something is not done quickly.

However, Guests visiting Disneyland Paris recently experienced one such fire. Disneyland Paris is currently celebrating its 30th Anniversary, and one of the fun things that Guests can see is a special parade featuring some of their favorite characters. During the parade, some of the characters dance on a float that rolls down the street. It appears that there are flowers and plants all around the float. The dance routine performed by the characters includes some small pyrotechnics. It was those pyrotechnics that ignited a fire on the float.

From a video shared by TikToker In Pixie I Trust (@inpixieitrust) the flowers caught fire and smoke quickly started to rise. As the fire grows, a man can be seen walking off camera and then coming back into the frame. As the fire grows, the characters keep dancing. We don’t know if they were able to see what was happening. A woman and teen girl see the fire and talk to the man. It then looks like the teen girl runs off camera to find help. The man then takes action and jumps up to put the fire out himself by stomping on it.

The man was thankfully able to extinguish the flames. A Cast Member then comes up and makes sure that everything is out, and the show goes on. After putting out the fire, the man simply went back into the crowd and acted like he didn’t just save the day.

This is not the first fire that has broken out at a Disney Park in the past couple of months. Another Guest visiting the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World saw a fire breakout at the Journey of the Little Mermaid attraction. It was speculated that fireworks may have started the blaze. Luckily, no serious damage was done, and the attraction was up and running the next day.

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park is enveloped in golden accents and pixie dust as though it has been magically enchanted. Here, guests can explore winding passageways where the epic tale of Princess Aurora is told through spellbinding dioramas. Inspired by the film’s original Eyvind Earle artwork, this iconic attraction features 3-dimensional displays, sound and stunning special effects. The climactic final scene features Maleficent’s transformation into a fire-breathing dragon. (Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort)

While a visit to the Magic Kingdom or California Adventure may seem like the perfect vacation destination, sometimes things can go wrong.

Disneyland Pirates

When visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, you tend to picture the perfect vacation for all ages. With iconic rides like Splash Mountain, “it’s a small world”, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion, as well as classic characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, it’s hard to imagine things going wrong. But sometimes, altercations take place between Guests and Cast Members.

Guests riding Carousel

From ride breakdowns to fistfights on Main Street U.S.A., Disney can’t always control what happens on its attractions and between Guests. And speaking of Guests, recently one TikTok user posted a heated encounter one Disneyland Guest had with several Cast Members. See the full video from @jadebear67 below, but please be aware of the vulgar language that is used.

Later on, @jadebear67 posted a few messages from alleged “it’s a small world” Cast Members who claimed to know what the issue was. Supposedly, the Guests in the video were asked to park their stroller somewhere else, after which they got mad, calling the Cast Members vulgar names. They also claimed that the family was “trying to play the victim” as Disney does not call security on Guests for no reason.

Store Owner Blames Disney For Their Business Closing

There is a lot that goes into making a movie — from casting to creating the costumes and designing the sets. And that’s before filming even begins. Once filming begins, the cast and crew are not the only ones affected. If filming takes place anywhere other than a studio, streets may be shut down and stores may be forced to alter their hours. One person who lives in New Orleans, Louisiana, is claiming that they have to close their business after 37 years because of Disney’s filming of one of its movies.

TikToker Michael Manzella (@michaelmanzella37) recently shared a video of a message in a store window while he was out and about. The store owner claimed that, due to Disney’s filming, they were being forced to permanently close their store. The note read:

Thanks DISNEY and NOLA FILM office for putting me out of business after 37 years of business at this location.

I survived Katrina, the BP oil spill, an armed robbery, the building next door collapsing, mandatory covid closure, to name a few…

Who would believe MICKEY MOUSE would take me down!

Michael then shared a video of the street, where lights and a film setup can be seen. However, traffic is still moving down the street and a number of people are seen walking up and down. Instead of supporting the business owner, many commented that they did not believe that the filming was the reason the store was closing. Many cited the fact that company’s like Disney will pay businesses thousands of dollars if they are forced to close because of filming.

TikToker @helloosunshiine said:

That’s total BS. Disney compensates businesses to close for the time they are filming. Seems like this shop was already going downhill for a while

M. Anthony Barrett claims to live in the area and didn’t believe the shop owner. He said that the shop was only open by appointment only.

Nope…. Wasn’t she open by appointment only?.. Was just there in December… Wanted to visit but she was never open..

BNicole5000 shared that she lives in Los Angeles, where filming takes place all of the time, and she knows that businesses are paid when that happens.

Living in LA where film crews are constantly filming and shutting down areas, they pay the shops. So seems like maybe other issues

It appears that Disney is in New Orleans to film the new Haunted Mansion movie. The film will star Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), LaKeith Stanfield (Judas and the Black Messiah), and Owen Wilson (Loki). Disney also recently announced that they were looking for extras who live in the New Orleans area. According to reports, Disney is hoping to be able to release the film in time for Halloween 2022, but if that date is not met, a mid-2023 release is expected.

PIXAR Fan Sits in Front of Studio Gates and Draws on the Pavement

A 22-year-old PIXAR fan who doubles as a budding artist recently made a trip to the PIXAR Studios in Emeryville, California, but rather than take an iconic photo of herself in front of the studios’ gates, instead, she sat down, pulled out her box of chalks, and began to draw.

“What better way to get their attention than to chalk draw in front of their gates?” she asks in her video.

The young woman, known as Jessie or @cowboyjess on TikTok, made a video of herself as she sat on the pavement outside the studio gates at PIXAR and used her talents as an artist to meticulously blend together colors of chalk to form the likeness of Giulia from PIXAR’s 2021 release Luca.

Giulia is a 13-year-old Italian girl who’s living with her father in Portorosso for the summer when she befriends Luca and Alberto and helps them in their efforts to win the Portorosso Cup.

Jessie used multiple chalk sticks in different colors to create Giulia on the pavement in front of PIXAR’s Studios. She says she used 5 colors of chalk on just the shading of Giulia’s skin alone. She took her time, so as not to rush the work of art, as she was leaving it for the up-tops at PIXAR to see.

Once Jessie had her version of Giulia just like she wanted it, she was sure to write–in chalk, of course–her name and her contact information on social media, just in case Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, Brad Bird, Dan Scanlon, or perhaps President Jim Morris, were to drive by on their way to or from the studios and see her amazing work of art and wanted to talk with her further. We think she did an amazing job!

This isn’t her last drawing. In her video, Jessica even asks viewers to tell her which character she should draw next.
