Yesterday (May 22) Disney shared a virtual viewing of the stunning stage show “The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands” from Disneyland Paris. If you missed it, they have shared the link to watch at anytime! And trust us, it’s well worth the watch.

As shared by DisneyParksBlog, this pre-recorded viewing of “The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands,” you’re front and center to experience the iconic moments of a Disney classic. To quote the fearsome Scar, “be prepared” to jump to the beat as a tribe of singers, dancers and acrobats brilliantly bring famous Pride Rock anthems to life for everyone at home.

Lion King Stars surprise Guests

“Earlier this week, guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom were treated to a surprise performance of “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” by JD McCrary and Shahadi Wright Joseph the voices of Young Simba and Young Nala in Disney’s “The Lion King.” The special appearance was in advance of a performance of “Festival of the Lion King.”

While here, JD and Shahadi took a little Hakuna Matata time to enjoy Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There’s no better place to celebrate the story of the cub who would be king as it roars back into your heart during a celebration of “The Lion King” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. So come get down at the new Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party, pose in front of limited time photo backdrops, experience “Festival of the Lion King” show”

Rivers of Light Debuts @ Animal Kingdom

One of the drawbacks to Disney’s Animal Kingdom was that it would always close at 5:00 pm and then you would have to figure what to do with the rest of your evening; No More!

Animal Kingdom park comes alive at night with a fantastic nighttime show along with great experiences throughout the park. 

Last weekend brought the debut of an updated Rivers of Light show, along with more magic at the Tree of Life. The show take place at 9pm and 10pm which means the park will remain open into the night.

“This reimagined version of the show introduces additional, stunning imagery and familiar animal characters from Disneynature films, along with a colorful tapestry of classic moments from Disney animation.

Also starting this weekend, the Tree of Life awakens each evening with a new story inspired by this summer’s release of “The Lion King.” Moments from Simba’s journey are depicted in a beautiful artistic style, set to an evocative musical score comprised of new arrangements of familiar tunes.

And all summer long, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is celebrating “The Lion King,” from the Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party and unique photo opportunities to the ever-popular “Festival of the Lion King” and special décor throughout the park.”
