During the Disney Parks panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe, Imagineer Scott Trowbridge teased new characters coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Though the panelists could not confirm who would be appearing, it was hinted to be related to upcoming media. It’s possible characters from “Ahsoka,” “The Skeleton Crew,” or other new Disney+ original series may visit Black Spire Outpost.
In the past, new characters only appeared at Disneyland park, but recently The Mandalorian and Grogu were added to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The pair also made a brief appearance in Disneyland Paris.
Boba Fett and Fennec Shand were mentioned in the panel, but so far they have only appeared at Disneyland. It’s possible they may be added to Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well.
Three new Star Wars films have been announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe.
James Mangold will direct a pre-Old Republic film about the origins of the Force.
Dave Filoni will direct a film taking place between “The Mandalorian” and “The Force Awakens.”
And Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct a sequel, which will take place 15 years after “The Rise of Skywalker.” This was announced as a new film but Obaid-Chinoy was already slated to work on a Star Wars film, so it’s unclear if these are two different projects.
Daisy Ridley is set to reprise her role as Rey from the sequel trilogy as she leads a “new Jedi order.”
Three introduction shorts and a poster for “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” have been released ahead of the series premiere on May 4, 2023.
Set in the High Republic era, “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” is notable for being the first of its kind in the “Star Wars” universe, with a concept specifically geared toward young audiences. Several fans have been excited by this prospect, finally having the potential opportunity to introduce their children to a beloved fandom with less intense but equally qualitative adventures. The story follows a group of Jedi younglings centuries before events witnessed in the prequel trilogy films “as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way.”
Elliot Bour serves as Supervising Director, with other notable directing work on “Elena of Avalor,” “Kronk’s New Groove,” and “Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo.” Michael Olson is the showrunner, known for his work on “Puppy Dog Pals.” The cast of “Young Jedi Adventures” includes Jamaal Avery Jr. as youngling Kai Brightstar, Emma Berman as pilot/friend Nash Durango, Juliet Donenfeld as youngling Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker as youngling Nubs, Jonathan Lipow as droid RJ-83, and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda.
The three shorts are available on the Disney Junior YouTube channel. They will be available on Disney+ on April 26. Watch the first short below.
An English actor best known for his work in Harry Potter and Star Wars productions has died. He was 56.
On Thursday, March 16, Paul Grant reportedly collapsed outside King’s Cross Station in London and was found unresponsive. According to reports, the actor was declared brain dead at the scene and was transported to the hospital, where he began receiving life support care.
Grant played the role of an Ewok in the Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983), and in the Harry Potter franchise, he played the part of a goblin–specifically in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001). Grant is also credited with work on Jim Henson’s 1986 film Labyrinth, and he was also a stunt performer in Legend (1985), Labyrinth (1986), and Willow (1988).
A spokesperson for a London ambulance service said the service was called to St. Pancras Station in London after 2:00 p.m. on March 16.
“We sent an ambulance crew and a medic in a response car,” the spokesperson explained. “We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital as a priority.”
On Sunday, March 19, Grant was removed from life support and was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.
“I’m heartbroken. No girl deserves their dad to be taken away,” Grant’s daughter Sophie Jayne Grant said in an interview. “He was so well known and loved [for his work]. He’s gone too soon.”

Sophie Jayne Grant added in a statement: “I’m devastated. My dad was a legend in so many ways. He always brought a smile and laughter to everyone’s face. He would do anything for anyone and was a massive Arsenal fan. He was an actor, father, and grandad. He loved his daughters and son and his girlfriend Maria very much, as well as her kids, who were like children to him. My dad, I love you so much. Sleep tight.”
“Paul was the love of my life,” said Grant’s girlfriend Maria Dwyer. “The funniest man I know. He made my life complete. Life is never going to be the same without him.”
