Disney Security Breaks Up Marriage Proposal and Removes Guest at Park

Disney proposals can be some of the most magical moments on earth.

Disneyland Resort is known as the “Happiest Place On Earth” and it’s amazing to think about how many couples had their ‘happily ever after’ moment at Disneyland Park in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle or at Walt Disney World Resort in front of Cinderella Castle.

Still, that doesn’t mean every moment is quite as magical as the last.

TikTok user @_disney._stuff_ recently posted a video from an experience at Disneyland Resort, in Disney California Adventure, where a Guest saw their proposal plans vanish quickly.

Cast Member stopped Guest from proposing

As you can see in the video, the Guest was stopped by Disney security and escorted from the Park area. While the reason for the Guest’s paused proposal plans is unknown, it may have to do with him having balloons that were not Disney-approved. This is one of several rules and regulations that Disney has in place for its theme parks.

Disney California Adventure has plenty to offer Guests as they walk the roads Walt had in Hollywood, enjoy a hand-dipped corn dog at Award Wieners, check out the new Marvel-themed land in Avengers Campus, where they can meet Spider-Man, Loki, Ant-Man, Black Widow, Doctor Strange, and so many more characters. Don’t forget to check out the glowing lights in Cars Land and ride Radiator Springs Racers. And of course, you have to ride WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: MISSION BREAKOUT. Rock on the Silly Symphony Swings as well, and go catch Jack-Jack on Incredicoaster!

At Disneyland, there is so much for Guests to enjoy! Now that the mask mandate has dropped for fully vaccinated Guests, Guests can enter buildings without a face covering if they so choose. Walking up to Sleeping Beauty Castle is always a dream, especially when you get to go inside and relive the story of Aurora and Malificent. Riding classics like “it’s a small world”, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, The Haunted Mansion, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Splash Mountain, and more will have you feeling the magic, and craving a churro! Toontown is currently gearing up for a massive change which will be revealed in 2023 with the reopening of the land, and the debut of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Plus, now at Disneyland, Guests can enjoy Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for some blue milk, or green milk, and ride Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler’s Run.

Guest Claims That Disney Security Told Her to Throw Away Her Booster Seat

When visiting a Disney Park, it is important to note what items you are not allowed to bring. Some items are a little more obvious than others, like firearms, fireworks, glass bottles, and alcohol. Others might not be as well known to some visitors, like stroller wagons, folding chairs, and selfie sticks. If you do try to bring prohibited items into the Park, Disney security will inform you that you must either bring the item back to your car or throw it in one of the many garbage bins in the area.

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park is enveloped in golden accents and pixie dust as though it has been magically enchanted. Here, guests can explore winding passageways where the epic tale of Princess Aurora is told through spellbinding dioramas. Inspired by the film’s original Eyvind Earle artwork, this iconic attraction features 3-dimensional displays, sound and stunning special effects. The climactic final scene features Maleficent’s transformation into a fire-breathing dragon. (Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort)

One Guest visited the Disneyland Resort recently and had some trouble when it came to an item she wanted to bring in. According to the Guest, she has a booster seat for her young child, that can also double as a diaper bag. One day, security allowed her to bring the bag into the Parks with her. She went back to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure the next day, and Security told her that she would need to either bring the bag back to her car or throw the diaper bag away.

The Guest took to Reddit to share her story and to see if anyone else had experienced trouble with security not being consistent on their Disneyland Resort visits.

One person asked which answer — diaper bag or booster — should be used to get into the Park. The original poster commented that she was told that, when it comes to certain items being let in, it will be left up to the discretion of Cast Members. That is what led to the poster getting two different answers when she tried to bring it into the Parks on different days.

Apparently “it’s the discretion of certain cast members “ as to what happens and how. Good example: dropped off by an Uber with your child at the park? Is the car seat allowed in?… it is At the discretion of certain cast members. Blue coat cast members specifically. If they say no I guess the car seat gets surrendered to the gods of garbage and excess

Redditor hotpinkmua said that it was the first security guard who let the Guest in with the chair was the one who had screwed up. Disney does not allow folding chairs and, even though it is a booster seat, it is counted as a folding chair. According to the Redditor, the first security guard should not have let her into the Park with it the first time.

So the first guard screwed up. Anyone who ever goes to Disney know that there are some guards who are very thorough and some who don’t seem to give a rat’s behind about searching bags and making sure people aren’t bringing in things they shouldn’t. Since this qualifies as a folding chair, it just isn’t allowed and it’s on the list of things you aren’t supposed to bring into the park. Not sure why you would use a booster seat as a diaper bag. Just get a bag. That’s odd.

Another Guest suggested a simple solution if the Guest wanted to take the bag in — go to another security entrance and don’t mention that the bag contains a booster seat, simply say it is a diaper bag.

f you haven’t thrown it away yet. There is another security entrance at the back of Downtown Disney. Don’t ask me how to get to it I’ve only been to DL once. Go through there and tell them it’s a diaper bag.

When visiting Disneyland Resort, there are three security checkpoints for Guests to choose from. There is one security checkpoint at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar parking structures, one at the entrance to Downtown Disney. There is a final security checkpoint on the other side of the esplanade, where the busses drop Guests off who have come from the Toy Story parking lot.

Before you decide to visit any Disney Park, it is important to visit that Park’s website. The website will have all of the information you need, including Park hours, ride closures, health and safety protocols, and a list of prohibited items. Knowing all of this information in advance only serves to help you have the most magical time on your Disney vacation.

Group Tries to Break Into Disneyland In Broad Daylight

When you visit Disneyland Resort, there are some things you expect to see — people enjoying a delicious Dole Whip, toddlers sleeping in their strollers, and a long line for Radiator Springs Racers. However, sometimes you see something you never expected. TikToker Kel (@themeparkmom) was visiting the Happiest Place on Earth recently and couldn’t help but share her wild story.

Kel took to the social media platform to share that, while she was waiting her turn to get into the Park, she heard Cast Members yelling for security. She then saw a group of four teenagers running towards the Park through the exit.  They ran past Cast Members and sprinted down Main Street. She then pointed out that the act seemed fruitless. Security cameras cover every inch of Disneyland Resort.

While seeing people try to break into a Disney Park may be shocking enough, the story doesn’t end there. Kel followed up her original post with one where she reveals that she later saw two of the teens who broke into the Park. They were being followed by security, who soon surrounded them. Sadly, two of the teenagers were with a young boy and a young girl. Security told the group they needed to go with them to a secure area. They were then escorted off Main Street.

Kel finished her series, informing her followers that Cast Members told her that the two young children seen in her second video were not a part of the group that originally broke in. She said that the group who broke past Cast Members at the exit were four teenagers, around the same age as the two that had been caught. She did not know what happened to the other two or where they were. Kel also did not know how the children became involved in the situation, but Anaheim Police were also on scene.

When visiting Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure, both a ticket and a reservation are needed to enter the Park. It is unknown if the teens had tickets but no reservations, or if they had tickets at all. However, thinking that they could simply run past security and enjoy their day is unfathomable. Disney has no qualms about banning Guests who behave like that. It is possible that the teens may have been told that they are not to step foot on any Disney property again.
