Main Street Confectionery To Reopen Soon

Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom has been closed and undergoing refurbishment. Disney has announced its reopening date and it’s just in time for the 50th-anniversary celebration!

Get ready for some news that will make your sweet tooth happy: the Main Street Confectionery hosted by Mars Wrigley is reopening on September 29 at Magic Kingdom Park, just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!

From a Disney Cast Member;

With new interactive opportunities to customize your confections and a fresh new look throughout, the Main Street Confectionery is your go-to spot for delicious treats. It’s also where you can see confectionery magic being made by hand.

When you step into this charming, turn-of-the-century sweet shop, one of the first new things you’ll see is the colorful candy wall, which includes 38 varieties of M&M’S and SKITTLES! If you’re in the mood for something savory and sweet, you can now personalize your popcorn experience with multiple combinations. Select from four popcorn flavors – caramel, rainbow fruit, buttery, cheddar – and then top it all off with a selection of M&M’S or SKITTLES candies or perhaps even with some chocolate drizzle for an extra sweet treat!

You can even get a front-row spot at the candy kitchen area to watch cast members make and decorate your favorite goodies like the character-inspired candy apples and Mickey crisped rice cereal treats being made and decorated. There are more than 30 new items you won’t find anywhere else!

Some of my favorites are the new fudge varieties, like the Peanut Butter Fudge – featuring creamy peanut butter fudge topped with M&M’S Peanut Butter Candies and drizzled with chocolate. Yum!

Of course, this signature Magic Kingdom shop will offer limited-time treats for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” These four new sweets will be available starting on Oct. 1.

Reopening of Three Disney Restaurants, Cause For Celebration!

Despite some recent set backs in Central Florida with COVID-19 cases on the rise, causing Walt Disney World to return to the mask requirement for indoor locations, we are seeing Disney steadily keep the reopenings coming! There are several restaurants and attractions reopening this month, so we have a LOT to celebrate. Not only are we cheering on Disney’s reopenings – Cast Members are celebrating the return of these eateries as well! Recently, Walt Disney World once again opened the doors to three restaurants spread throughout Disney property.

As shared via Walt Disney World Cast & Community Facebook: “Cast Members all across Walt Disney World are celebrating the return of even more delicious dining establishments. From Spanish-inspired cuisine with a rooftop view at Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood to scrumptious quick-service eats at Pizzafari and Columbia Harbour House — we are so excited to taste what’s on the menu and give the Cast Members a big “welcome back!’”

Still a fairly new table-service restaurant to the Disney mix, this restaurant serves up delicious Spanish-inspired dishes along with heavenly sips of wine and beverages. The roof-top dining allows for gorgeous views as well!

Pizzafari has a super kid-friendly and the air-conditioning can’t be beat. Pizzafari began greeting guests once again on August 2!

Lastly, Columbia Harbour House – a favorite quick-service restaurant in the Liberty Square portion of Magic Kingdom is once again open! We’re thrilled to have it back as of August 5.

Welcome back to all the fantastic Disney Cast Members that make it possible to reopen all of these experiences! While all three of these restaurants are very different dining experiences, they provide Disney fans more options which is what we’re all about.

Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor Reopens After 18-Months of Closure

Great news coming out of the Monster world as Walt Disney World’s extremely fun attraction, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor at Magic Kingdom, has once again reopened their doors. Monsters, Inc. is just one of the many attractions/experiences scheduled to reopen this month. While Monster, Inc. Laugh Floor was on the calendar to reopen on August 8, Disney began soft openings on August 6 and guests are loving every minute of it! Not only do we see guests celebrating, but of course Disney Cast Members are excited to be back among the memories this attraction dishes out.

As shared via Walt Disney World Cast & Community Facebook: “HELLO, HUMANS! Mike Wazowski is once again welcoming humans to the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, and our very own monsters of comedy could not be more thrilled! Hey, do you know why you can’t give Elsa a balloon? Because she’ll let it go!”

If you’ve never experienced this Magic Kingdom park favorite, you don’t want to miss it! As shared Disney’s website, “Step inside the only laugh factory in Monstropolis and make your way into a comedy club hosted by Monster of Ceremonies Mike Wazowski. These scare-acters love to engage the audience. Don’t be surprised if you become part of the show!” Plus, if you have a good, clean joke you want shared, you can text it in to the show and they may just share it with the audience.

Welcome back to all the Cast Members and Disney fans that have long awaited Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor’s reopening after 18 months of being closed due to COVID-19. While we wish we could say we totally pandemic free, you’ll still need to follow along with Walt Disney World’s safety guidelines by once again wearing masks at all indoor locations on property. Is putting on a mask worth the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor entertainment? Absolutely!
