Disney World Parks Get Price Increase For Single-Day Tickets

Disney has just revealed some major changes to how Guests are visiting the Disney Parks in Florida.

The Walt Disney World Resort offers Guests the choice of choosing how many days to visit, with various packages and ticket pricing plans. But Disney will be implementing changes on single-day tickets specifically very soon.

Previously, prices were determined by what time of the year you were visiting. Now, prices will also be determined by which Park you’re visiting.

As you can see, a single-day ticket for Magic Kingdom will now reach up to $189, a staggering amount of money for one day at Walt Disney World. Both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT are near this same price point with $179 days, and Animal Kingdom brings up the rear with $159, the lowest of the higher-end costs.

This news comes just after the reveal that Annual Passes would see an increase in price as well, even though Guests still cannot purchase all four passes at The Walt Disney World.

Disney+ Price Increase Takes Effect March 26th

After being announced at Investor Day last December, it’s been revealed exactly when the subscription rate increase for Disney+ will take effect.

The front page of the streaming service’s website prior to login reveals that the rate will increase to $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year beginning Friday, March 26th. This will effect all monthly and annual subscribers beginning with their first billing cycle on or after that date. Prior to that, the $6.99/month and $69.99/year rates are still in effect.

The increase will also affect the Disney bundle, which includes Hulu and ESPN+, raising the price to $13.99/month for ad-supported Hulu and $19.99/month for Hulu with no ads.

Price Increases Now Hit Private VIP Tours

On top of paying the already increased price on your annual pass or a day ticket to Walt Disney World, you’re going to also have to dig a little deeper in your pockets for a Private VIP Tour.

The Private VIP Tour Service is a fully customizable tour guide service you can purchase in addition to park admission. You’ve seen these VIP tour guides in plaid and blue escorting groups throughout the parks.

The exclusive services they offer come with a cost, and the hourly rate can now reach as high as $750 an hour — with the lowest rate sitting at $425 an hour. Previously, the highest rate for a private VIP tour was $625 an hour. The time of year you visit Walt Disney World will determine your hourly rate. Also, you’ll be committed to using the tour guide for at least seven continuous hours.

Groups of up to 10 guests can use the Private VIP Tour Service to see and do the things on their list. Just tell your personal VIP Tour Guide what you’d like to see, and they’ll customize your day to your desire! After being picked up from your Central Florida accommodations in a private vehicle, enjoy unparalleled hospitality at one or more of the theme parks, experience some of your favorite attractions and watch magnificent parades; live shows and select nighttime spectaculars from special reserved viewing areas alongside a VIP Tour Guide. Guests may be picked up from any Central Florida location; however, billing will begin at the time of pick up.

Some of the personalized services include:

  • Pre-arrival planning
  • A flexible start time, picked by you
  • Visits to multiple theme parks in one or more days, if desired
  • The ability to enjoy some of your favorite attractions efficiently
  • VIP viewing areas for parades, select stage shows and nighttime spectaculars
