Automated PhotoPass Camera Installed at Mickey & Minnie Meet and Greet in Town Square Theater

Much like the popular Darth Vader meet and greet in Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which recently implemented automated cameras, a new automated PhotoPass “photographer” has been installed at the Mickey and Minnie meet and greet in the Magic Kingdom.

Over in Rehearsal Room 4, which is known as Mickey’s dressing room, a set of bookshelves nestled with two stacked, embedded cameras now take the place of actual human PhotoPass photographers.

Character Attendants are still present during your experience as they help guide the meet and greet and direct guests to stare and smile at the PhotoPass box.

If you ask, they can still take photos with your phone.

Disney World Is Waiting For You!

Photopass Studio Open at Magic Kingdom

Photos are among the best souvenirs that you can get while at Walt Disney World! Photos help capture the memories and magic of your trip so that you can remember it for years to come. Disney has opened a PhotoPass Studio at Magic Kingdom Park. The studio is located within Fantasyland inside Sir Mickey’s, which is near the exit for Princess Fairytale Hall. Guests who visit will find cast members who are available to take guests’ pictures in front a variety of different backdrops. There are woodland scenes, photo props and more. There is a glass slipper photo prop, too!

The Disney PhotoPass Studio is available to all park guests with regular park admission. The photos will be within the guest’s My Disney Experience account and included in downloads with Memory Maker. The hours for the Disney PhotoPass Studio are the same as the regular park hours for Magic Kingdom Park.

New PhotoPass Opportunity at Tower of Terror

The Twilight Zone Tower of TerrorTM recently celebrated its 25th anniversary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. In honor of this amazing milestone, Disney has released a new photo opportunity from Disney PhotoPass Service. The new Magic Shot incorporates your ride photo into the opening on The Hollywood Tower Hotel. It is animated so you see your ride photo and then it zooms out to show the opening in the hotel and the doors close.

Guests just have to have their photos linked within their My Disney Experience account to be able to see this new Animated Magic Shot. If everything is linked guests will be able to capture their attraction photo, this new Animated Magic Shot and the attraction video while on the ride. Guests will want to have their Magic Bands on while they ride in order to ensure that they get the video and their photos.

The Animated Magic Shot and ride videos can only be downloaded and shared by guests who have purchased a Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day. All guests can still view the Animated Magic Shot within their Disney account.
