Bunsen and Beaker Concoct New Disney PhotoPass Magic Shot for 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

Bunsen and Beaker have momentarily stepped away from their concoctions at the Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey Pavilion to take part in a 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival-themed Magic Shot at EPCOT. The Magic Shot is available through Disney PhotoPass at EPCOT from now through November 18, the final day of this year’s EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

Bunsen and Beaker Magic Shot

The official Disney PhotoPass Instagram account debuted the new photo opportunity in a post on Saturday morning.

The photo places guests behind an EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival-branded white desk and next to Bunsen and Beaker. Scientific concoctions appear on the desk alongside items currently being served at the Brew-Wing Lab; the infamous pickle milkshake, of course, is present.

The Odyssey Events Pavilion serves as the scenic backdrop of the shot. The pavilion was present at EPCOT Center on opening day in 1982, initially housing the Odyssey Restaurant. The restaurant closed in 1994 and the structure has been used intermittently since; it’s now often used during festivals at EPCOT, currently housing the Brew-Wing Lab.

Magic Shots are available exclusively through Disney PhotoPass and place guests in settings or alongside characters not easy to replicate in the real world. They’re typically introduced for holidays and events (such as festivals) but have been utilized for other purposes with increasing recent frequency; for example, two “Ahsoka”-inspired Magic Shots debuted at Stars Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at both Disneyland Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World last month.

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker are leading the experiment that is the Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey, one of the marketplaces at the 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. The booth contains several different culinary takes on the chicken wing, ranging from traditional Buffalo-style wings served with celery and ranch (though true traditional Buffalo wings are served with blue cheese) to unique offerings like the “Peanut Butter and Jelly Sticky Wings.” The Brew-Wing Lab also serves an array of beverages including the Pickle Milkshake.

Bunsen and Beaker appear at the Brew-Wing lab in the form of informative and instructive videos telling guests about the lab’s offerings.

There are a total of 32 booths participating in the 2023 International Food & Wine Festival, with three new Global Marketplaces — Char & Chop, Bubbles & Brine, and Wine & Wedge — opening on September 22. The festival runs from July 27 through November 18, 2023.

New ‘Video Memories’ Feature Released for Disney PhotoPass at Walt Disney World

A new Disney Photopass feature called Video Memories allows guests to create Disney PhotoPass videos. Guests will use their own photos and video along with iconic Disney content to recreate magical experiences from their vacation.

A new feature has been released for Disney PhotoPass. According to the Walt Disney World official release, Video Memories will allow guests to “revisit the magical experiences” from their Disney vacation “by creating video memories.”

Guests who opt to purchase PhotoPass will be able to use their own photos and videos as well as content in their Disney PhotoPass gallery. They may combine this media with iconic imagery and video from the Disney Library. This also allows guests to add enhancements, including stickers, music, and text.

Templates are included to make the process simpler. By selecting a template from the provided collection, users can create a quick theme for their new video memory.

Next, users will choose between two options: either “Quick Video Memory,” where they will select photos and videos and add enhancements later, or “Advanced,” where guests will create an entire video memory themselves. This is done by selecting photos and videos and then adding stickers, music, and text manually.

Once completed, guests are able to view their creation. With the My Disney Experience app, guests who have Memory Maker or are Annual Passholders are eligible to download and share their video memories.

There is no limit to the number of video memories a guest may create.

PHOTOsynthesize With These EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Magic Shots

Epcot

We are ready for yet another fantastic year of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. We are most excited for the Magic Shots that will be available from Disney PhotoPass Service (and the Outdoor Kitchens, of course). Seriously, we can’t get over these amazing shots!

Like Heimlich said in Disney and Pixar’s film, “A Bug’s Life,” “Someday, I will be a beautiful butterfly and then everything will be better.” And well, everything does seem better when posing for this Magic Shot underneath a flurry of butterflies. Fly down to the entrance to World Showcase under the Monorail beam to capture this festival favorite!

Who wouldn’t want to visit Pixie Hollow and hang with Tink and her fairy friend? Now, with this Magic Shot and a little pixie dust, guests might find their way to Pixie Hollow! Just think of the happiest things and fly over to most PhotoPass photographers to uncover this flitterific Magic Shot.

Speaking of flying…when in Magic Kingdom Park, Orange Bird hangs out at Sunshine Tree Terrace and serves up some Dole Whips. But for the festival this year, he’s flying into the frame! guests can visit most Disney PhotoPass photographers stationed in World Celebration locations to capture this Magic Shot. And then maybe go and get a Dole Whip, because…why not?!

After a Dole Whip, guests can go find this fantastic floral photo at the water near Journey Into Imagination With Figment. You know how Isabela grows a flower and the town goes wild? Well, we’re going wild over this Magic Shot. Visions of purple, pink, and peonies will fill guests’ heads long after their visit.

Those visions of flowers are filling Spike the Bee’s thoughts too, so watch out Donald Duck! Spike the Bee is the star of the show in this Magic Shot. When he’s not busy pollinating or tormenting Donald Duck, he’ll make sure to pop into guests’ photos anywhere in the World Showcase.

After a day of gazing at flowers, guests might as well pose for a photo with them! Poppy in this floral frame stationed in the Italy pavilion, near the entrance to World Showcase under the Monorail beam, and by the water near Journey Into Imagination With Figment. Here, guests will be surrounded by flowers that will last a lifetime.

It is only fitting to wrap this up with our favorite shot of all: the Tiny World Magic Shot. Located near the fountain just beyond the main entrance of the park, guests can capture their entire family from the most magical angle. They get a fun festival border too!

We think Disney PhotoPass Service really rose to the occasion for the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this year. guests can use the locations noted here as a guide for finding these Magic Shots, but we also recommend asking photographers what Magic Shots are available at their location. We truly hope guests enjoy their time photosynthesizing with Disney PhotoPass Service!

“Tangled” Photos at Walt Disney World Resort

One of the many reasons why we love using Disney PhotoPass Service is because of how well the photographers incorporate Disney stories into our photos. One of our absolute favorite Disney stories is Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Tangled.” Thankfully, Disney PhotoPass Service has lots of “Tangled”-themed photo ops at Walt Disney World Resort. It’s always a blast to let our hair down and have Disney PhotoPass photographers help us go live our dream of stepping right into the movie. Plus, they always get our nose right.

So guests don’t have to keep wonderin’ and wonderin’ and wonderin’ where they can take these photos during their next visit to Walt Disney World Resort, check out some of our favorites below.

Go on a towering adventure to Corona, all without leaving Disney Springs! Allow us to explain: At the Disney PhotoPass Studio, guests can take photos in front of Disney-themed virtual backdrops, including a few themed to “Tangled”! Guests just need to let the photographer know this is what they want in their pictures so they can set up the shot. Plus, there’s a frying pan prop they can use in their photos. Who knew, right?

Best…Magic Shot…EVER! Go running and racing (not literally, please) to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, where the Disney PhotoPass photographer stationed at the bridge leading from the entrance of the park into Discovery Island can capture this Pascal Magic Shot.

At Magic Kingdom Park, this lantern prop is warm and real and bright. Whether guests choose to smile or smolder, they’ll gleam and glow. It’s available daily after dark in Fantasyland, weather permitting.
