Are you excited to celebrate the new year? Well if you’re a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, there’s a new option n MagicBand chic available today! To ring in the new year (and decade), why not celebrate with a special 2020 Annual Passholder MagicBand?
The design is fairly basic, but that doesn’t make it any less neat! How are you supposed to show off your Passholder status without something to adorn your wrist, after all. The design features a standard blue MagicBand with Minnie Mouse posing in front of Spaceship Earth at EPCOT on top, and the text “2020 Passholder” along with the retro Walt Disney World logo on the bottom.
This week is a very special week for Disney fans as December 5th marks the birthday of Walt Disney, and we’re always looking for ways to honor and celebrate the man (and mouse) who started it all. Today, a new Limited Release MagicBand has arrived on the shelves, and we’re loving its classic, quirky design.
The all-white band features Walt Disney on one end and another end dotted with vintage Mickey Mouse plush.
According to D23, the first design was actually created by a seamstress named Charlotte Clark in the early 1930s:
“A successful example of a Mickey Mouse doll had already been created by an enterprising seamstress in Los Angeles, Charlotte Clark (née Carolyn Geis), who in January 1930 had asked her then 16-year-old nephew and aspiring young artist, Bob Clampett, to come up with sketches of Mickey Mouse on which she could base her doll design. Not having any reference material handy, Bob grabbed his sketch pad and went to the Alexander Theater in Glendale, California, to sketch Mickey in action from one of the Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts being screened there. Charlotte and Bob created the first doll, and on the advice of Bob’s father, sought the approval from Walt and Roy to produce and sell their Mickey Mouse doll creations. Not only were the Disney brothers pleased with Charlotte Clark’s doll, they set it as the standard against which all subsequent Mickey Mouse dolls were soon to be measured.”
Originally scheduled to debut at the parks and on shopDisney on November 12th, the all-new MagicBand Slap Bracelets have arrived early at Walt Disney World, and we’ve got a first look at the full collection for you. The initial collection features slap bracelet designs inspired by Orange Bird, Stitch, Mickey & Friends (from new animated shorts), and a Frozen 2 Limited Release. As far as structural design goes, the bracelets are wrapped in silicone-type rubber with raised designs, and each RFID Mickey puck comes embedded inside a themed, interchangeable icon slider.

Do note that these aren’t as long as the usual MagicBands, so they may not fit large wrists as well.
A limited-edition The Mandalorian MagicBand has hit shelves ahead of the TV show’s debut on November 12th on Disney+. Retailing for $34.99, this MagicBand is LE 1,500
The navy blue The Mandalorian MagicBand comes in a cool display box showcasing the limited edition of the MagicBand.
This brand new, forest green MagicBand features Mickey and Minnie admiring the latest Christmas decorations with a warm cup of cocoa.
A strand of red lights surround the center puck of the MagicBand, and separates the two scenes.
On the bottom half, we have Mickey and Minnie, all cozy and warm as they look on at the decorations on the other side of the band. With a cup of hot chocolate in hand and bundled up with scarves, the couple look positively full of holiday cheer.
On the other side, we see the Castle looking a bit more rustic with the red barn doors. It’s decorated with a wreath and star on top, as well as a reindeer weather vane on the top tower. Snowflakes flutter about as well on this half of the design.
