MagicBands No Longer Complimentary at Disney Resorts as of January 1, 2021

The days of receiving complimentary MagicBands as Disney Resort Guests are dwindling quickly. As previously shared, as of January 1, 2021, MagicBands will no longer be complimentary at Disney Resorts.

As shared on the Walt Disney World website:

Disney Resort hotel Guests with an arrival date through December 31, 2020 will receive complimentary MagicBands. Magicbands will no longer be provided on a complimentary basis for new reservations for arrivals at Disney Resort hotels January 1, 2021 and beyond. However, Guests will have the option to purchase MagicBands.

The website also states: “In addition to MagicBands, in 2021, we plan to unveil an innovative new offering as part of the My Disney Experience app that will bring features of a MagicBand to your smart devices.”

New MARVEL Spider-Man & Iron Man MagicBands

Two new MagicBands featuring two of MARVEL’s most iconic characters—Spider-Man and Iron Man are now available. These new MagicBands are the perfect accessories for any superhero fan. Let’s check them out.

Spider-Man MagicBand – $24.99

The first MagicBand features your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in black and white against a red and blue background.

“I Am Iron Man” MagicBand – $24.99

The other MagicBand features Iron Man in a fighting stance against a mostly red background. New MARVEL-themed MagicBands have made their way into Walt Disney World, recently, including another Iron Man MagicBand, that was released in July. 

NEW Limited Release Adventureland MagicBand

Adventure is out there!

Wear your favorite land on your wrist with this new limited release Adventureland MagicBand at Walt Disney World.

The icons include a delicious-looking cup of Dole Whip, the Magic Carpet from Aladdin, and a skull with crossed swords. Of course, it wouldn’t be Adventureland without Orange Bird, who is surrounded by flowers and a Jungle Cruise boat, pirate ship, and magic lamp.

This MagicBand Retails for $29.99.

NEW Limited Release and Limited Edition Baby Yoda “The Child” MagicBands

Two new Baby Yoda (a.k.a. “The Child”) MagicBands are floating into Walt Disney World!

This first limited release band has a red base with mountain ranges and orange clouds in the background. Baby Yoda floats in his crib on one end of the band.

This MagicBand was $29.99.

The band itself is purple with more yellow stars and the Star Wars logo.

This MagicBand was $34.99.

NEW Limited Release EPCOT “Park Life” MagicBand

It’s been a while since we’ve seen new “Park Life” merchandise. This cartoon-ish collection started hitting shelves late last year. A new limited release EPCOT MagicBand has now been added to the lineup.

Mickey smiles at one end with Spaceship Earth behind him.

The other end of the band has a collection of EPCOT icons for different attractions, including Soarin’, Journey Into Imagination, Mission: SPACE, Test Track, and The Seas With Nemo & Friends.
