Details on Major Expansion of the Main Street Confectionery at the Magic Kingdom

Via wdwnt.com

As part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”, Walt Disney World has officially announced their plans for a classic Magic Kingdom establishment as the park approaches its 50th birthday.

The Confectionery at the Magic Kingdom “will receive a fresh new look, expanded layout with more room to shop and interactive opportunities to customize your confections like never before.”

To bring these concepts to life, both Main Street Confectionery and The Chapeau will close for refurbishment March 29th, as previously reported. Along with that, some of the merchandise and goodies will be shifting to other spots in the park.

Main Street Confectionery Offers Treats For All | Chip and Company

Many of the treats from Main Street Confectionery will be available at Emporium and Main Street Cinema during the closure. The Main Street Cinema is already closed for this transformation.

Favorite Disney hats, including the must-have Mickey Mouse ears, will be just across the street at Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater.

Finally, if you’re looking for collectibles and artwork, Bonjour! Village Gifts will be the new go-to spot. This store has already reopened with the new selections.

Walt Disney World Parks at Capacity Through April 8 for All Except Passholders

If you’re planning your visit to Walt Disney World, you likely know by now that you must have a Park Pass reservation to access any one of the four parks. Snagging a Park Pass reservation as soon as possible is increasingly important, as we’re starting to see more and more capacity days as Spring sets in and Disney fans flock to the parks. Currently, the Park Pass calendar is showing all Walt Disney World parks are at capacity through April 8 for all except Passholders.

As you’ll see in the March screenshots below, of the three ticket tiers (Theme Park Tickets, Select Resort Hotels, and Annual Passes), only Passholders have the option of going to select parks for some of the remaining March dates.

April

As we turn the calendar into April, the same happens for the first part of April, leaving April 1-8 closed to all guests, except Passholders.

As previously shared in February, Bob Chapek, confirmed the park capacity will remain at 35% with a rise depending on the COVID-19 public vaccination rate. We haven’t heard an update from Disney regarding any new park capacity insight, but we’ll be sure to share if Disney decides to increase capacity. In the meantime, don’t forget to snag those Park Pass reservations ASAP!

Check Out This “It’s A Small World (After All)” Performance

When you think of the classic Disney attraction “it’s a small world”, chances are the quick and happy song pops into your head (and stays there for a very long time!). Well, Disney Files Magazine recently sat down with the amazing Keala Settle to discuss the song and the importance of it during these trying times. Her performance of “It’s A Small World (After All)” is absolutely stunning.

As shared by Disney Parks: “Stage and screen star Keala Settle (“The Greatest Showman”) visits with Disney Files Magazine Editor Ryan March about her emotional connection to the Sherman brothers’ “It’s a Small World (After All)” before performing the iconic song as a healing prayer for peace in trying times.”
