Up, which came out in May 2009, has die-hard fans that will go absolutely crazy over this new set. Up is the story of Carl Fredricksen, a 78-year-old balloon salesman who is mourning the loss of his soulmate, Ellie. Carl, who is tired of being unfulfilled by life, decides to make his lifelong dream a reality. He ties thousands of balloons to his house and takes flight toward the South American wilderness. His plans are interrupted when Carl discovers a wilderness explorer named Russell is a stowaway on his vessel. Carl and Russell go on the adventure of a lifetime. Along the way, they meet an adorable dog named Dug, and the trio learns powerful lessons about friendship.

Now, Up is getting it’s very own LEGO set! This set includes Carl’s house (adorned with balloons), his yard, and his mailbox. We also get three minifigures: Carl, Russell, and Dug! The minifigures come in their iconic outfits from the film. This set is absolutely adorable and has been one of the most highly requested sets ever.

New Disney LEGO Set Is on the Way!

Disney fans, LEGO is about to get a touch of Disney film magic with a new LEGO set on the way.

Disney and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) is the perfect combination of a Halloween and Christmas animated movie for Disney fans. Jack Skellington (voiced by Chris Sarandon and Danny Elfman) is the King of Halloween Town. He journeys and discovers Christmas Town, which he can’t get enough of. Jack attempts to bring Christmas to his home town causing much confusion. In the midst of chaos, love blossoms as Jack and Sally (voiced by Catherine O’Hara), a neighboring rag doll, connect.

And now, The Nightmare Before Christmas is about to become its very own LEGO set! What started as a LEGO Idea project submitted in 2022 has grown to over 10,000 supporters. After LEGO’s extensive expert review, in February 2023, the company agreed to create the LEGO Idea of The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The LEGO Idea combines several areas of Halloween Town from the Disney film. The Pumpkin King’s (Jack Skellington’s) house stands tall in the middle of the LEGO structure with a full 360-degree reveal of 3 internal rooms that hold intricate details linked to the film.

At the base of Jack’s house, LEGO fans will see the gothic Town Square, which includes the Town Hall and characters Lock, Shock, and Barrel, as they kidnap Santa Claus in their walking bathtub.

The other side of the base has the incredible Spiral Hill and the town’s graveyard, home to Jack’s beloved ghost dog, Zero. Even Dr. Finkelstein can be seen wandering the graves! Jack and Sally stand on the top of Spiral Hill, just like in the memorable film scene.

In all, the LEGO structure contains approximately 2000 pieces along with eight LEGO minifigures, including Jack Skellington, Sally Stitches, Dr. Finkelstein, Lock, Shock, Barrel, Santa, and Jack as Sandy Claws.

Giant LEGO Sorcerer Mickey Sculpture at Disney Springs

A brand new Sorcerer Mickey LEGO sculpture was installed outside of The LEGO Store at Disney Springs. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an ode to the classic Disney film, Fantasia.

Sorcerer Mickey is first seen in Disney’s Fantastia film in 1940, but has become an iconic Mickey Mouse look throughout the years. Here he proudly wears the iconic sorcerer hat and robe for the first time, but doesn’t yet know what’s in store.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice uses his newfound magic to create a LEGO spectacle outside of the store’s entrance. He uses this magic to bring the swell of waves up and around him, just like in the film.
