Extended Hours for Imagination! Pavilion Attractions

Guests looking to spend a bit of extra time with Figment or enjoy some Pixar short films late at night will be pleased to know that operating hours have been extended for all Imagination! Pavilion attractions starting January 12th.

Starting January 12th and running through February 29th, all attractions within the Imagination! Pavilion will be open from park open to park close. Typically these attractions close at 7:00 PM, with the exception of evening Extra Magic Hours or peak crowds.

Journey into Imagination with Figment, the Disney-Pixar Short Film Festival, and the newly-opened Mickey Mouse meet and greet inside the Film Festival will be open from park open to park close.

You’ll notice that these dates coincide with the scheduled annual Test Track refurbishment, which is set to take place from January 13th, 2020 to February 26, 2020. Hours are often extended elsewhere in the park whenever a major attraction is closed for refurbishment to accommodate crowds.

New Inside Out Joy Meet & Greet In The Imagination Pavilion @ Epcot

ImageWorks inside the Imagination! Pavilion has been fueling the imagination for guests for years, and now the latest addition to this pavilion includes a new meet and greet location for none other than Joy from “Inside Out.” When the Wreck-It Ralph meet and greet was initially announced, there was the promise of new portals to other worlds, and now guests can venture into Imagination Land!

Based on the artwork on the background here, the pattern is similar to that on Joy’s dress, which would fit right in for her meeting there. We can also see some bright pink and purple hues similar to Bing Bong’s color palette. He is the Mayor of Imagination Land, after all.

Joy now meets sans-Sadness inside her Imagination Land backdrop in ImageWorks, where you can also find Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope intermittently from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, every day.

Mickey Mouse to Move to New Location At Epcot in Early 2020

On September 8, 2019, we saw many closures at Epcot to make way for construction for the reimagined Epcot that will be ready in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021. After one side of the Epcot Character Spot closed, Mickey moved to a temporary location with Goofy and Minnie. Disney has announced a new and exciting location for Mickey.

The exciting transformation of Epcot has begun, with groundbreaking attractions and other unforgettable experiences debuting in the coming months and years. Among them will be new places to meet and interact with some of your favorite Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse himself!

Mickey will soon be making appearances in a new location at the Imagination! pavilion, as part of the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival. Just inside the entrance, you’ll discover Mickey greeting his fans and celebrating his on-screen stardom.

Mickey’s imagination has led to a career in the movies for 90 years and counting, featuring roles in dozens of short films such as “Get A Horse” which you can enjoy as part of the festival. Look for Mickey to arrive at the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival in early 2020!
