Disney Park Pass System Is Finally Live After A Tough Start

After months of park closures, yesterday, June 22, was the launch of the new Disney Park Pass System for Disney Resort guests with valid park admission. But, the morning didn’t go off without some MAJOR struggles.

While Disney never stated a start time for when the Disney Park Pass System would be live on the website, many were on their computers ready to roll with rumors flurrying around a 7:00am start time and the Disney website seemed to be sinking. This pretty image of the Cinderella Castle appeared:

On different browsers, people also got the wonderful Stitch error page:

And then of course everyone’s favorite 7 friends here:

After much wait, many were able to get their Park Pass reservations made.

Here’s to hoping things go better today and the future!

WDW President Josh D’Amaro Celebrates Hollywood Studios Birthday With Music

Happy Birthday to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! On May 1, 1989, Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened to the public. Since we can’t be in the park to celebrate this special day, Walt Disney World President, Josh D’Amaro, decided to take to his Instagram account to make a little music. Check out the video below as shared on D’Amaro’s Instagram:

I don’t know about you all, but seeing the views and hearing the music make us miss this amazing park even more. Happy Birthday Hollywood Studios… until we meet again!

Take A Virtual Ride On Slinky Dog Dash @ Hollywood Studios

Slinky Dog is ready for action! While we are unable to jump on board the beloved Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we are excited to hang out with this loyal toy via a virtual ride. Check out the fun below from DisneyParksBlog:

Put a spring in your step today and take a trip around Andy’s backyard aboard Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. This streeeetchy roller coaster has brought plenty of #DisneyMagicMoments to families visiting Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World Resort, so we’re thrilled to invite you for a virtual ride today.

Andy built this Dash & Dodge Mega Coaster in his backyard, then attached his beloved Slinky Dog for extra fun. As an “honorary toy,” you sit inside Slink’s coils and zip around Toy Story Land in the first multi-launch coaster in Disney history.

In this extra-special “Ride & Learn” video, you’ll discover some fun facts about the coaster and Toy Story Land. Can you spot Rex’s original toybox or the famous Pixar ball? How many other toys do you see while whooshing around the backyard? And can you guess how big Andy’s footprint actually is?

ll this and more awaits you on Slinky Dog Dash, one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World Resort. So as Slinky Dog himself would say … here we go!
