Disney Announces EPCOT’s Two New Experiences Are “Coming Soon”

It’s been a day full of announcements! Disney announced Avenger Campus will open on June 4, and updates have been provided on each Disney Parks regarding current construction and entertainment progress. We can’t help but focus in on Walt Disney World Resort where Disney Chairman has announced two highly anticipated EPCOT experiences are “coming soon”.

As shared by Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products: “As we previously announced, Walt Disney World Resort will kick off our 50th anniversary on Oct. 1, 2021. As part of our multiyear transformation of EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will also debut on that day, while work continues on Harmonious and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – just a few of the incredible experiences coming soon.

While yes, it’s not the dates we have been hoping for… “coming soon” is more information than we have been receiving. Which one are you most excited about experiencing? We simply can’t wait for nighttime entertainment to return… so Harmonious is on the forefront of our minds. But, we have a feeling Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be absolutely incredible.

New Photos Of Guardians Of the Galaxy Roller Coaster

More details have been found on the new Guardians of the Galaxy Attraction ride vehicles. When this attraction opens in Future World at Epcot it will be one of the world’s longest enclosed roller coasters! 960 trucks’ worth of concrete poured the foundation of this mammoth attraction. When the building is complete, the volume of four Spaceship Earth attractions could fit inside it! Four!!!

Bob Chapek has stated that this enormous groundbreaking ride full of adventure deserves a ride system and ride vehicles unlike anything guests have experienced before. This is a one-of-a-kind storytelling coaster. It connects the adventure of a storyline with the thrills of a coaster.

“On most coasters, the vehicles point straight ahead throughout the ride,” Bob explained. “But on this attraction, each individual cab will be programmed to direct your eye to the story happening around you.

That means instead of whizzing by the action, you’ll be fully immersed in the story from the minute you launch.”

The attraction will open in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in 2021.

New Bus Designs Added

Back in July, we got the addition of all-new “Sensational Six” buses at Walt Disney World, with bus wraps featuring Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, Donald, and Pluto. Now, there are new characters zooming by on all-new bus wraps featuring Dumbo, plus Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy!

This larger-than-life Dumbo wrap sees the adorable pachyderm carrying his classic black feather. His circus collar matches the orange at the front of the bus. A new Disney Transport logo can be seen on the back.

Groot: “I am Groot!”

Rocket: “No, you’re a BUS.”

This bus stars Rocket Raccoon and Groot soaring through the galaxy with Star Blasters in the background.

Pretty cool! What do you think?
