New Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Hotel Celebrates Grand Opening

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort celebrated the grand opening of its newest addition, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, on Friday, Nov. 12 with a ribbon cutting ceremony, bringing together hotel owners Tishman and MetLife along with executives from Walt Disney World and Marriott International. 

This new 14-story hotel designed by Gensler is positioned adjacent to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in the middle of Walt Disney World Resort, features a captivating design offering 349 spacious and versatile guest rooms – including 151 suites – with incredible floor-to-ceiling views of the resort. Guests of the resort can walk to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios and receive special Walt Disney World hotel guest benefits including early theme park entry and extended evening theme park hours. 

In the heart of the Walt Disney World Resort, the award-winning Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin reside amongst the greatest theme parks and attractions in Central Florida. They are located between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and nearby Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Magic Kingdom Park. Guests can discover 22 world-class restaurants and lounges, sophisticated guest rooms and the luxurious Mandara Spa. The resorts feature six pools, three health clubs, nearby golf and complimentary transportation throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. The newest addition, the 14-story Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, offers an upscale, boutique atmosphere as well as 149 suites ideal for families and two presidential suites. 

Gideon’s Bakehouse Reopening Today at Disney Springs

Gideon’s Bakehouse has announced they are reopening today at 10am at Disney Springs following a surprising closure of the new establishment on January 2nd. Their grand opening will take place January 16th, 2021.

The new bakery had only been soft-open for 11 days, but is already renowned for their specialty coffees, cakes and half-pound cookies, as well as 4-hour-long virtual queue times. Luckily, we had a chance to see all they have to offer from the bakery, which happens to be themed as an occult bookshop, before the closure.

The Grand Opening on Saturday will be quite the occasion according to a Facebook post from Gideon’s:

Regal Eagle To Open This Weekend

It appears that Regal Eagle Smokehouse opening will take place this weekend over in Epcot. 

This new quick-service location at the America Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is scheduled to open on Sunday, February 9th at 11:00 AM according to Google.

This new restaurant features the one and only Same the Eagle and will serve up a variety of classic backyard barbecue selections from across the country.

Here guests will partake in “Sam’s Centennial Cook-Off: A Salute to All Cook-Offs but Mostly Barbecue”.

The menu will feature a variety of barbecue styles and entrees such as: 

  • American Platter – a selection of 3 meats served with Garlic Toast
  • Kansas City Smoked Half-Chicken – slow-smoked half chicken smothered with sweet BBQ sauce and choice of side
  • Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich – rubbed with Brisket Rub then slow-smoked and smothered in Spicy Mop Sauce, sandwiched between Garlic Toast and served with choice of side
  • Power Greens Salad – Mixed Greens tossed with Fresh Citrus Fruit, Sunflower Seeds, Dried Cranberries, and radishes in a fresh citrus vinaigrette topped with chilled pulled chicken
  • Memphis Dry-Rub Pork Ribs – dry-rubbed and slow-smoked served with garlic toast and choice of side
