Gina Carano Lands First Project Since The Mandalorian

It is being reported that Gina Carano will be starring in and producing a currently-untitled revenge thriller, which is based on Eric Red’s novel White Knuckle. Red, whose work includes The Hitcher and Near Dark, will also be writing the film’s script.

The production is being developed with Carano and conservative media company The Daily Wire, and has been in the works for several months now. The film is reportedly in negotiations with a director, with plans to release the film in Q1 of 2022.

“I’m completely ignited to be creating this thriller with The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend,” Carano said in a statement. “I feel I am exactly where I want and need to be at this moment in my life; it feels as if I have wings.”

Gina Carano Teases A Star Wars Return

Gina Carano had a quick split with her Star Wars career following some social media controversy last year.  Now however we are wondering if things are being smoothed over and we could possibly see her return.

In a recent Twitter post, Carano posts a picture that gives off a very strong Star War vibe. The photo depicts a shrouded figure – possibly Carano herself – standing on a very Tatooine-alike landscape watching not a binary but a trinary sunset. Further adding to the intrigue, the actress shared the pic without a comment.

We have seen Carano in a Disney+ series as she was in Running Wild with Bear Grylls even though they tried to bury the season.  We still have a long ways to go before we get back to seeing her on The Mandalorian.

It isn’t clear if this photo is a teaser for a Star Wars like project she is working on or not.  As season three of The Mandalorian seems to be a while down the road, it might be a while before we know exactly what this photo means.

Gina Carano Fired From Star Wars: The Mandalorian

Big Star Wars news unraveling as we’ve learned Gina Carano, the bounty hunter known as Cara Dune in Lucasfilm and Disney+’s The Mandalorian, has been fired.

As reported by Deadline: In the wake of Gina Carano’s controversial social media posts, Lucasfilm has released a statement Wednesday night, with a spokesperson saying “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

The actress shared a TikTok post comparing the current divided political climate in the U.S. to Nazi Germany. “Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views,” she wrote.
