Disney’s Hollywood Studios Reservations Fully Booked for Theme Park Ticket Holders, Resort Guests through July 1, 2021

Walt Disney World’s theme park reservations calendar has some disappointing news for many guests.

All reservations for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, home to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, are no longer available through July 1st for those guests who have single or multiday tickets, or even guests at select Walt Disney World resorts.

At this time, Annual Passholders can still reserve their spots at Hollywood Studios through select days in April, May, and June. New Annual Passes are still not available to purchase.

New Changes to Star Wars-Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue

Via DisneyLists.com

Calling all members of the Resistance! Disney is making a slight adjustment to the virtual queue process for one of the most popular experiences at Walt Disney World Resort, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Learn more below.

Beginning Sunday, December 20, distribution times for the virtual queue enrollment will be 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. (a change from 2:00 pm). Keep in mind, to access the 1 p.m. virtual queue opportunity guests must have a valid ticket or pass, a Disney Park Pass Reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and be inside the park. (Access to the 7:00 am queue remains the same in that you don’t have to be in the park to join). Access to a boarding group is subject to availability and not guaranteed.

As a reminder, only guests with a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be able to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. When Park Hopper hours become available on January 1, 2021, guests visiting from another theme park will not be able to request to join the virtual queue. Disney encourages these guests to explore other areas of the park, including in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge where they may experience Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run among other offerings.

Disney Shares 360-Degree Virtual Tours of Oga’s Cantina & Dok-Ondar’s at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Today, August 29, is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge one year anniversary! Disney is celebrating with two videos sharing a look inside the popular lounge, Oga’s Cantina, and Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. Check out the details and video below as shared by DisneyParksBlog:

Rising moons! Today is an exciting day, as it marks the one-year anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’re taking you on a virtual, 360-degree trip inside two of the most popular venues in the land: Oga’s Cantina and Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities!

These two videos capture one of my favorite things about traveling to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu … I literally just love standing still and looking around. There’s so much to see, so much to hear, so many incredible details to soak in – I seem to discover something new every time I visit.

Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities is the perfect place for this type of visual exploration, with its eclectic selection of rare and mysterious items. In this 360-degree video, you can look around the shop and learn more about many of the artifacts that adorn its walls.

Oga’s Cantina is where people gather in Black Spire Outpost to share their stories with one another. In this 360-degree video, you can look around the vibrant watering hole and listen to the music provided by DJ R-3X (I’m pretty sure you’ll recognize the tune he’s playing). You may want to watch this while using a pair of earphones – it sure sounds like there are some whispers from a galaxy far, far away I’m detecting in there. After all, you never know what you may overhear in Oga’s Cantina …

Massive Lightning Bolt Strikes Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World

Via WDWNT.com

It seems Emperor Palpatine is back at it again. Nightly lightning shows have become a regular occurrence at Walt Disney World lately due to summer storms rolling in every evening, and a new video on social media shows the sheer power of nature—even on Batuu.

A video by Twitter user @Austin_Cop_17 shows a massive lightning bolt striking one of the lightning rods embedded throughout the taller points of the land. Just before lightning strikes, all one hears is the familiar whirring of the machinery throughout the Resistance Forest. And suddenly, a lightning bolt hits, with the camera flashing to white and even the audio going out on the video due to the nearby impact.

While startled from the loud boom, no one was hurt, nor was any damage recorded at the site… Black Spire is safe from the evil forces of the Sith, for now.
