Mad Hatter Joining Disney Fab 50 Character Collection Statues

The Mad Hatter is joining the Cheshire Cat in the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. Ashley Eckstein showed off some of her Alice in Wonderland-themed house in a video on Disney social media to announce the Mad Hatter’s gold statue.

The Mad Hatter’s statue will be at Magic Kingdom.

R2-D2 Joins Disney Fab 50 Character Collection Statues

R2-D2 is joining the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection and rolling into Disney’s Hollywood Studios this fall as part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”

Walt Disney Imagineers Ann Morrow Johnson and Scott Trowbridge, who are currently working on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, announced R2-D2’s gold statue in a new social media video.

Joe Gardner from “Soul” Fab 50 Statue Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It was announced today via the Pixar Instagram that Joe Gardner will be joining the lineup of Disney Fab 50 statues for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.

Soul directors Pete Docter and Kemp Powers took to Instagram to announce the newest statue honoring the lead from their film. Joe is seen seated, playing a stream of piano keys. The statue will be showcased at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, alongside Edna Mode who was recently announced as part of the Fab 50 Character Collection at the park as well.

The “Disney Fab 50” collection of character statues just got way more fashionable with the announcement of the latest addition: The Incredibles‘ Edna Mode!

Pixar Art Director Bryn Imagire made the announcement on the studio’s Instagram page, noting that the statue would be located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This is just the latest character to be announced as part of the collection of 50 statues coming to Walt Disney World for its fiftieth anniversary this October. It the last few days, we learned that Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, Daisy Duck and Figment would also be part of the series.
