Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” is joining the fun over at Mickey’s PhilharMagic! This classic attraction is getting a new “Coco” scene, and we can’t wait to experience the music. Plus, we can’t wait to see how Donald Duck handles this new scene as he searches for Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat.
As shared by Disney: “The musical number “Un Poco Loco” will anchor the new scene when it opens to guests at Disney California Adventure park and Disneyland Paris on July 17, before being added to Magic Kingdom Park later this year during the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration. The film’s fun, upbeat music and characters combined with the humor of Donald Duck marks the first time Disney and Pixar animators have worked on a creative endeavor where characters from both animation studios will be seen together on screen. Because music is such an integral part of the show, we were also fortunate to tap one of the film’s original composers – the world-renowned Germaine Franco – to produce a “Coco” score unique to Mickey’s PhilharMagic.”
If you’re a die hard Mickey’s PhilharMagic fan and worried about this classic attraction changing, have no fear! Disney has said guests will enjoy this new scene alongside all of the show’s current fan-favorite musical numbers.
It’s hard to believe it has been almost 5 years since the Princess of Star Wars has passed away. Carrie Fisher will forever be a Star Wars legend for her role as Princess Leia. Her daughter, Billie Lourd, recently visited Disneyland. She rode the popular Star Wars: Rise of Resistance attraction and honored her Mom with a special headband.
As reported by People: “Billie Lourd channeled her late mother Carrie Fisher during a recent day at Disneyland. The actress, 28, shared footage on Friday from a trip to the Anaheim park with friends. She spent time at Galaxy’s Edge and riding Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, while also giving a nod to Fisher and her character in the sci-fi franchise by donning Princess Leia mouse ears for the outing. Lourd called the Star Wars attraction the “best ride ever,” but followed up by adding that Soarin’ is “a close second.”
Billie looks like she’s having a blast! The Princess Leia Ear Headband by Ashley Eckstein were limited release ears that cost close to $80.
Billie Lourd followed in her mother’s steps and became an actress herself. She’s starred in Scream Queens (2015–2016) and American Horror Story (2017–present). She’s also made Star Wars appearances as Lieutenant Connix in the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2015–2019). It sounds like she spent the perfect day at Disneyland, while honoring her mother, a Star Wars legend.
Walt Disney World is gearing up for a summer with more capacity and fewer restrictions. One step that will help is opening more restaurants! Getting dining reservations has been challenging, and that’s one of the reasons we’re so excited to learn of more restaurants reopening at Disney Parks.
Disney Skyliner conveniently stops at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, making it an easy (and fun!) trip to dine at Sebastian’s Bistro, which will reopen with delicious tastes of the Caribbean and a new family-style meal at dinner.
Sebastian’s signature buttery house-baked pull-apart rolls will get you started (YUM), and the entire table will enjoy the Taste of the Caribbean platter featuring oven-roasted citrus chicken, slow-cooked mojo pork with mango sambal, and grilled flank steak with mojito relish. This hearty platter comes with sides of cilantro rice and beans, vegetable curry, and grilled broccolini. Coconut shrimp can also be ordered as an add-on to your meal. The best part? You finish with the ultimate sweet treat – the popular coconut-pineapple bread pudding!

Since its reopening in late April, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have only welcomed California residents per government guidelines. Thankfully, Disney has announced when out of state guests may visit the parks. Learn more below.
From a Disney Cast Member;
Since we began our phased reopening of Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park on April 30, guests have experienced countless magical moments back at the Happiest Place on Earth. From waving hello to beloved Disney characters, to lots of laughter on favorite attractions and enjoying themed treats all around the resort – magic is definitely here at the Disneyland Resort!
And with the all-new land of Avengers Campus opening at Disney California Adventure park on June 4, plus the reopening of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel on June 15 and Disneyland Hotel on July 2, there couldn’t be a more exciting time to visit Disneyland Resort.
Today, we’re pleased to announce that beginning June 15, 2021, we will once again be able to welcome travelers from outside the state of California back to our theme parks! Out-of-state visitors may now begin booking their return to the parks on Disneyland.com. Until June 15, all guests visiting the Disneyland Resort must be California residents visiting in groups no larger than 3 households.*
The State of California strongly recommends that all guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering the theme parks. In addition, all guests will be required to wear an approved face-covering throughout their visit at the Disneyland Resort.
As always, our procedures may change as we continue to update our health and safety processes based on guidance from the state of California and local health officials. The latest details to know before you go can be found on Disneyland.com/Updates. We recommend that you check back on the website often, as information continues to be updated.
As a reminder, to enter a theme park, all guests (ages 3 and older) need to have both a ticket and theme park reservation for the same park on the same date.
We’re also excited to share an additional update on the theme park reservation system. Beginning today, the booking window for theme park reservations has expanded out to 120 days, allowing guests even more time to plan their return to the resort! Check the theme park reservation calendar for availability.
We look forward to sharing more information, soon. Keep your eyes peeled here, as well as Disneyland.com!
*Applicable government travel advisories may apply to visits both before and after June 15. Please see Disneyland.com/Updates for more information.
As Avengers Campus located at Disney California Adventure Parks gears up for it’s grand opening on June 4, 2021, guests are getting a look at the tasty food options being served out of this new land. One of the dining options is called the “Pym Test Kitchen”. This new quick-service restaurant is made for hero-style dining, so we hope you come with an appetite! In looking over the menu however, you’ll notice one epic sandwich that stands out above the rest. Why? Because it’s $99!
As shown on the Pym Test Kitchen menu, the Quantum-sized Pym-ini Sandwich includes Salami, Rosemary Ham, Provolone and Sun-dried Tomato Spread on Toasted Focaccia, served with Marinara Dipping Sauce and Arugula Salad. Sounds amazing right?! But why is it listed for $99? Well, it serves 6-8 guests! While yes, we typically don’t see prices like that at Disney’s quick-service restaurants, when you break $100 down by 8 people, you’re spending $12.50 per person which isn’t bad.
Not bringing 6-8 people with you? No worries, you can order the regular (non-Quantum) sized Pym-ini Sandwich for $14.49.
Why the large sized and regular sized menu items? Disney is keeping with the Avengers Campus theme! The Pym Test Kitchen is utilizing the shrink-and-grow technology of Pym Particles, as Ant-Man and The Wasp lead a team of research chefs as they pioneer a menu packed with inventive-sized entrees, tiny treats and shareable bites. Bring your appetite, Disney fans!
