Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Have a Magical Disney Day

That 70’s show stars and Hollywood sweethearts Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis just spent a magical weekend at the happiest place on Earth! The pair reportedly had a blast celebrating the end of the summer at Disneyland and stopped to take a couple of pictures of their fun-filled day to tease fans on Instagram.

The pair is known for their adventurous dates and living in the moment, and a quick peek at their Instagram accounts shows that they definitely know how to have fun. The former Punk’d star is also known for his pranks, once giving (soon-to-be) Disney legend and close friend Kristen Bell a shower curtain with his wife’s face printed on it. With such a fulfilled spirit, we are not surprised the couple would be Disney fans.

Dressing the part, Kunis(39) in a Mickey hat and Kutcher (44) in a Star Wars shirt, the couple seemed to be living their best life. They were all smiles posing with Storm Troopers on Rise of the Resistance and in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. It n September 4th, Kutcher took to Instagram and asked fans if they could guess where they celebrated the end of summer. Of course, with such iconic locations, no one was stumped, but if you don’t take a castle selfie, did you even go to Disney?

It’s unclear if this was a magical couple-only date or if the pair brought their two children, Wyatt and Demetri. They are very private about their children stating that they don’t share pictures of them online. In a 2017 interview Kutcher said, “We don’t share any photos of our kids publicly because we actually feel like being public is a personal choice….My wife and I have chosen a career where we’re in the public light, but my kids have not,” Ashton told Thrive Global podcast. “So, I think they should have the right to choose that. And I actually don’t think that they should have images of them as children that are out there, that somebody could potentially blackmail them with or do whatever—you know. It’s their private life; it’s not mine to give away.”

Regardless of whether it was a family outing or a fun filled date, we hope they had a blast! You can check out Ashton Kutcher’s Instagram post here.

Popular Disney Attraction Receives Reopening Date!

Last month, one of Disneyland Resort’s most iconic attractions — Matterhorn Bobsleds — closed for refurbishment. When the ride closed down, Disney did not say how long the refurbishment would last, which indicated that it would be a more extensive refurbishment. The closure was a big disappointment for Guests who would be traveling to The Happiest Place on Earth for the peak summer month.

The Matterhorn has been closed since August 8 with no reopening date in sight. However, that has changed and Disney has finally revealed that the beloved Disney Park attraction will begin boarding Guests on October 13!

The Disneyland Resort website currently reads:

Matterhorn Bobsleds will be closed for refurbishment from August 8 to October 13, 2022.

Matterhorn Disneyland

Haven’t taken the wild theme park ride to see the Yeti in a while? Here’s more information on the classic Disneyland attraction:

Conquer the Mountain – and a Mythic Monster

Climb into a 6-person bobsled and brace yourself against howling winds as you ascend 80 feet up into an icy cave. Take in the sweeping views at the summit and prepare for a thrilling, high-speed ride.

Swoop in and out of shadowy caves and along jagged rocky ledges. Throttle through snowy chutes and around frozen precipices. Fly across bridges and under waterfalls before splashing down into an alpine lake.

The real peril is not snow or sleet! Stories abound of a growling creature known as the Abominable Snowman—who will do anything and everything to protect his home.

Do you have what it takes to find out if the legends are true?

Disneyland Matterhorn

This is not the first time this year that Disney has shut down the Matterhorn Bobsleds for refurbishment. In January, the ride was closed for weeks as repairs were made. Since this is one of the oldest rides in the Park, it does make sense that it would need work done on a more constant basis than some of the newer rides and attractions at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland Confirms Change Coming to Iconic Entrance

f you visit Disneyland Resort in the coming days, you may be able to notice some changes happening right at the iconic entrance.

One of the most iconic sights for Disney Park Guests coming to visit Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure is taking in the sight of the Mickey floral planter, which shows Mickey Mouse completely made out of flowers. Since opening day on July 17, 1955, the display has greeted Guests and is one of the most recognizable sights of any Disney Park.

f you’re walking past the Disneyland entrance in the next couple of days, however, you may be noticing some changes if you’ve got an eagle-eye.

According to reports from the Orange County Register, Disney has confirmed that it will be rolling out new artificial turf around the Mickey floral planter at the Disneyland entrance and the Haunted Mansion front lawn. These displays will be unveiled on Friday, September 2 when Halloween Time officially kicks off at the Anaheim Park. The Mickey floral planter with Halloween colors and the Haunted Mansion Holiday ride overlay will be unveiled on Friday when the spooky season kicks off — and with it large swaths of new artificial turf in high-profile locations, according to the report.

Disneyland has been slowly changing over to astroturf instead of grass in several areas of its Parks. The effort to reduce real grass in the theme parks started when Cars Land opened at Disney California Adventure in 2012 when astroturf was installed in front of Sarge’s Surplus Hut and Flo’s V8 Cafe and in the queue line at Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters.

While these changes will be happening, most Guests will likely not notice much without looking very hard because of “the high-end turf that Disney uses.”

“The high-end artificial turf used at Disneyland is harder to spot than the low-cost versions found in residential neighborhoods that look like synthetic green carpeting with visible seams. Disneyland uses eight different types of artificial turf with gray, brown and off-white blades intermittently woven in to look more natural,” the report says.

minnie mouse disneyland

Earlier this year, Disney honored Women’s History Month by changing the floral design to Minnie Mouse. This was the first time that the change had been made in the Resort’s history.
