From the opening of Disneyland Park in 1966 until the land was reimagined in 1967, Tomorrowland was home to its own pair of intrepid space travelers. Guests from around the globe enjoyed the opportunity to meet and greet these explorers, who played dual roles as icons of Tomorrowland and ambassadors for Walt Disney’s optimistic vision of the future.

The Space Station S-1 Model from the “Disneyland” television series is also on display, suspended from the rafters above.

Created by artist, sculptor, and Disney Legend Wathel Rogers. this model was built for two episodes of the “Disneyland” television series that aired in I955. The first, “Man in Space,” was a look at how America was preparing for the challenge of space exploration. The second episode, “Man and the Moon,” featured it in a key role, speculating it would serve as the base of operations for a crewed flight around the moon. The model has previously been on display at the Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

This is an exciting time to be a Disney Vacation Club Member, especially if your home resort is at Disneyland. The Disney Vacation Club points charts have been released for the Villas at Disneyland Hotel, which is opening on September 28. Cash rates were revealed last month when bookings opened. Disney also announced the sales date for the Villas, which is in May.

The new tower at Disneyland Hotel has been under construction for several months. This addition to Disney Vacation Club offerings includes rooms and villas with Disney-inspired décor and themed touches for the whole family.

Disney says, “The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will blend timeless Walt Disney Animation Studios classics with contemporary designs, delicately curating a celebration of Disney history in the place where it all started—the Disneyland Resort.” The 12-story Disney Vacation Club tower will “immerse you in discovering the creative storytelling process, bringing some of your favorite Disney stories to life like never before in a variety of themed accommodations.”

Parents Go Viral After Abandoning Child In Disneyland

It should go without saying, but: If you’re visiting Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort with a young one, please make sure to keep up with them.

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park is enveloped in golden accents and pixie dust as though it has been magically enchanted. Here, guests can explore winding passageways where the epic tale of Princess Aurora is told through spellbinding dioramas. Inspired by the film’s original Eyvind Earle artwork, this iconic attraction features 3-dimensional displays, sound and stunning special effects. The climactic final scene features Maleficent’s transformation into a fire-breathing dragon. (Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort)

When Disneyland was built, legendary founder Walt Disney talked about how the theme park was “for the young, and the young at heart.” Children from around the world are given magical opportunities to meet their favorite characters, experience many iconic attractions, and take in entertainment offerings when they visit Disneyland or Disney World, especially for the first time.

Parents who visit a Disney Park with children know that the days aren’t necessarily easy tasks. At Disneyland, walking around Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park all day with a stroller and many other essential items can become tiring rather quickly. But, it’s all worth it when you see your child’s face and their reaction to some of the most magical offerings that can only be experienced at “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

For some reason, there are some parents who have decided it’s okay to leave their children while at the Park. Disney Dining recently covered a story of parents who left their newborn in a stroller and they were approached by Disney Cast Members.

Now, another video has gone viral of a child being left in their stroller. The TikTok, shared by @xoxcandace, has already received more than 34,000 views on the streaming platform.

It is never advised to leave your children for any amount of time while at a Disney Park, or any theme park. At Disneyland, To board an attraction, children under age seven must be accompanied by a person aged 14 years or older. All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. at the Downtown Disney District.

While some may think going to the bathroom for just a couple of minutes is acceptable to leave a child, it’s not a safe choice and is one that could result in expulsion from the Park.

It is always better to take the child with you or to have adults or members of the family wait with a child rather than leave them for any amount of time.

Former President Barack Obama Kicked Out of Disneyland

Disneyland Resort, home to two theme parks in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, brings in millions of Guests each year to enjoy iconic and thrilling attractions, magical entertainment offerings, and make memories that last a lifetime.

If you’re visiting Disneyland Park, you’re likely to enjoy some of the more classic rides like Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones Adventure, “it’s a small world”, Jungle Cruise, and Space Mountain. The classic attraction Splash Mountain is still located inside the Anaheim theme park, as well, but you only have a short time left to ride it until it closes permanently to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Because there are so many magical attractions and experiences inside Disneyland, it should come as no surprise that celebrities from far and wide also choose to spend their days at “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

An interesting story from former President Barack Obama recently resurfaced on Insider when he shared that he was once kicked out of Disneyland. Obama shared that he was a college student at the time, attending Occidental College, when he and a few friends were caught smoking on the Gondolas.

“These were cigarettes, people,” Obama clarified when he received an outburst of applause. “Terrible thing, but I’m a teenager, I’m rebellious.”

As they got off the Gondolas, which were removed in 1994, he said they were approached by “large Disneyland security guards” who escorted them out of the theme park.

“They say, ‘Sir, can you come with us?’” Obama said. “And they escorted us out of Disneyland. This is a true story, everybody. I was booted from the Magic Kingdom.”

Of course, this wasn’t actually at Magic Kingdom Park in Orlando but rather at Disneyland Park in Anaheim. Though he was told he had to leave that day, Obama said he wasn’t issued a ban and was allowed to return to the Disney Park moving forward.

He’s not the only celebrity to have a “run-in” with Disney security.

Rebel Wilson shared recently that she was banned for 30 days from Disneyland after taking an “inappropriate bathroom selfie.” Blake Lively shared a story once that she was banned for an entire from Disney when she was just six years old after her and her brother attempted to sneak into the theme park.

One area that has gotten many Guests kicked out of Disney is dress code. Rockstar Bruce Springsteen and E-street Guitarist Steven Van Zandt were kicked out of “The Happiest Place on Earth” after their attire didn’t match Disney’s dress code.

If you don’t want to meet the fate that some of these celebrities met in their past, it’s important to adhere to Disney’s rules and policies. The official rules section for Disney can be found here. Disney is a family-friendly theme park, and there is an expectation that Guests will adhere to posted signs, refrain from profanity, will not attempt to carry in prohibited items, and will listen to directions given by Disney Cast Members.

Failure to do any of the following can result in being escorted out of the Park, banned from Disney property, or even arrested, depending on the severity of the situation.

Guest Accidentally Drops Phone In Body of Water, But Captures a Moment of Disney Magic

Disneyland Resort is known as the Happiest Place on Earth, and that’s certainly true. Even when one Guest made the ultimate mistake and dropped their phone into a body of water, they were still able to capture a moment of Disney magic.

Disneyland Park is full of the original Disney magic, with Sleeping Beauty Castle welcoming Guests every single day. But nothing sums the magic up better than Snow White’s Wishing Well.

In the Snow White Grotto lies Snow White’s iconic wishing well, where she first appears to audiences, singing and wishing for her dashing prince.

In this tranquil area, Guests can make a wish themselves, or take photos with the beautiful, picturesque scenery in the background. However, one Guest got more than they bargained for when they tried to take a photo at the well.

TikTok user @toodarling was visiting Disneyland Resort with a friend when they decided to take a picture. The two were dressed as Peter Pan and Wendy in an impressive cosplay. Wanting to take advantage of the beautiful area and intricate costumes, they attempted to take a picture by propping the phone up on Snow White’s Wishing Well.

What ensued was chaos.  The happiest chaos on Earth that is.

@toodarling

I realize it was dumb to prop my phone on there but we all make mistakes. Please don’t do this on purpose. Cast members deal with enough 😅 Before you ask! Adults can wear costumes to Disney’s special ticketed events, we were there for Princess Night 💕 #disneyland #princessnite #peterpan #snowwhite #thatmademecry

In this video, we can see that they stay put as their friend finds a Cast Member to help. However, while waiting, the Peter Pan cosplayer draws a small crowd, who marvel at the phone lost in the well, which continues recording!

Although it started out as a mistake, this moment drew complete strangers together for a moment of Disney magic!
