Disneyland Paris Cast Members Go on Strike, Parks May Be Unable to Open

Cast Members associated with a local union are set to strike this summer, publicly demonstrating their desire for better pay.

The Disneyland Paris Resort has seen its fair share of controversies recently. Earlier this year, an entire parade was canceled due to Cast Members going on strike at the Resort. Now, Cast Members are once again set to go on strike.

This was recently confirmed by DLP Report on Twitter:

The strike will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and will involve all Cast Members associated with UNSA. The strike could affect the Resort’s opening operations, though only time will tell what this means for the Resort.

Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland have faced similar issues regarding Cast Members wanting higher pay and better working conditions. Cast Members at Walt Disney World recently reached an agreement for higher wages, much like the Universal Orlando Resort did earlier this year.

The Disneyland Paris is located in Chessy, France, and is comprised of two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. At Disneyland Park, Guests will find classic theme park rides and attractions. At Walt Disney Studios, Guests will find more intense and intellectual property (IP)-based adventures.

The most recent addition to the European Resort can be found at this Park in the form of Avengers Campus. This Marvel-focused area allows Guests to get up close and personal with their favorite Marvel characters like Iron Man, Black Widow, Spider-Man, and Thor.

Avengers Campus can also be found at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and has proven to be popular among fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Child Climbs Into Restricted Area, Slides Down Disney Attraction

Disneyland Paris Guests were recently caught doing the unexpected, climbing into a restricted area.

Disney Parks are renowned worldwide for their magical experiences, enchanting attractions, and immersive storytelling. With several locations spread across the globe, these theme parks offer visitors a chance to step into the enchanting world of Disney. No matter what Disney Park you visit, there’s sure to be plenty to enjoy.

Disneyland Paris, located just outside the vibrant city of Paris, is a destination that brings the enchantment of Disney to the heart of Europe. As one of the most popular tourist attractions on the continent, Disneyland Paris offers visitors a unique combination of fairy tales, thrilling rides, and a touch of European flair. Whether you’re a fan of Disney characters, a thrill-seeker, or a lover of all things magical, Disneyland Paris has something for everyone.

The Disney Resort is home to two different theme parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Disneyland Park is where the magic begins, and it’s divided into five captivating lands – Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland, and Discoveryland. Each land offers its own unique atmosphere and attractions. One of the highlights of Disneyland Paris is its iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle Guests can spot. Disneyland Park also is home to iconic attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril roller coaster, “it’s a small world,” Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Buzz Lightyear Blast, and many more attractions.

Next door at Walt Disney Studios Park, Disneyland Guests can immerse themself in World of Pixar, Marvel Avengers Campus, Toon Studio, Front Lot. Guests can enjoy attractions such as Cars ROAD TRIP, Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille: The Adventure, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, and many more attractions.

In a viral TikTok, Guests spotted a child in a restricted area sliding down Disney property. This child climbed to the top of the Chesire Cat topiary– which is there to serve as a fun attraction to take photos with, not a climbing wall– and then went behind a fence and slid down it several times. Disney Guests at the fence can be seen taking photos and appear to be laughing at the child, while we are unsure if they are the guardians of this child.

This is very unsafe and Guests should not climb or be in a restricted area. This Guest could have been injured or worse, and Disney could ban this family for being in a restricted area.

Disney Park Filled With BUBBLES

The Walt Disney Company usually runs a tight ship. Everything at the Parks is usually carefully planned and executed so as not to cause any harm or delay. Cast Members at all of Disney’s locations take their jobs very seriously and diligently try to maintain a healthy amount of order on Disney property.

However, every once in a while, something genuinely hilarious happens in Disney Parks when things do not go as expected. That kind of thing happened today when Guests were met with a soapy surprise at this Disney Park.

Spring Cleaning Takes on a Whole New Meaning

One of the things that help differentiate Disney from its theme Park competitors is the immaculate cleanliness of the Parks. When visiting the Parks, you may likely notice that the grounds of the property are kept in great condition for Guests to enjoy. That is why Guests were not completely shocked when they were met with a soapy surprise in the Park this morning.

Disneyland Paris is known as one of the most beautiful Disney Parks. This Park has recently gotten more popular after the new Avengers Campus was added to the Park. With the new crowds coming to check out the land, more eyes have been able to notice the happenings of the Park.

Snowfall Covers Disneyland Paris

Guests entering Disneyland Paris today were met with the hilarious sight of one of the fountains overflowing with bubbles. The suds fill the entire surrounding area. The fountain that overflowed was the one at Fantasia Gardens.

From the look of it, the suds seem to have made quite a mess. It has not been confirmed what the situation over there was; it could have possibly been a cleaning procedure done by the Parks. It also could have been a prankster who dumped a bubble bath into the fountain. The Twitter page @Disneyland Paris Bon Plans posted the event.

The caption translates to;

“This morning, the fountains of Fantasia Gardens turned into a huge bubble bath!”

Regardless, the image of it all was quite hilarious for Disneyland Paris Guests to see.

Two of Disney’s Biggest Holiday Parties Have Just Been Canceled!

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort both take any excuse to throw a party, such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party hosted in Magic Kingdom or the Disneyland After Dark events in Disneyland Park. But Disney doesn’t just throw parties in the United States.

In fact, each Disney Park overseas has an event or two to offer Guests. As for Disneyland Paris, there will be two fewer events being offered than usual this year:

⚠️ Breaking: the 2023 Disneyland Paris Halloween Parties and the New Year’s Eve Party have been canceled. Instead, the Resort will offer an enhanced experience and extended hours with regular admission on October 31 and December 31. pic.twitter.com/r7kgbuOo72

Reportedly, the Disneyland Paris Halloween Parties and the New Year’s Eve Party have both been canceled, leaving many Guests confused and disappointed.

Each of these Disney Park events had regular attendance and proved themselves popular among Guests, so why are they being canceled?

According to the official Disneyland Paris website, two new celebrations are in place of the Disneyland Paris Halloween Parties events. The first of which has been described as “an enhanced guest experience” taking place on Halloween night. This event is categorized by “extended opening hours and special moments, rather than standalone tickets.”

The second new event is Disney’s Halloween Festival, which will take place beginning on October 1 through November 5. Disneyland Paris states that this event will have a “thrilling Halloween atmosphere” for Guests.

In place of Disneyland Paris’s New Year’s Eve Party will be a similar “enhanced experience” taking place on December 31, but little detail has been released about this event so far.

Disney World Changing Its Haunted Mansion Attraction to Create a More Family-Friendly Experience?

Via DisDining.com

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are home to the most classic, quintessential attractions.

Between Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom, rides like “it’s a small world,” Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Space Mountain have delighted Guests for decades.

But one attraction stands out amongst all other Disney rides: the Haunted Mansion.

Haunted Mansion Hitchhiking Ghosts

The Haunted Mansion stands out because of the vast difference in theme and tone from other attractions. The only one that could come close is Pirates of the Caribbean, which also showcases topics like death. However, one of the most significant differences is that the tone of Pirates of the Caribbean is silly, jaunty, and lighthearted despite the darker scenes in the attraction.

The Haunted Mansion, however, is dark, eerie, and spooky from start to finish. Even once the more lighthearted scene begins in the graveyard, with the ‘Swingin’ Wake,’ there are puppets and animatronics that look scarier than others.

Over in Disneyland Paris, the Phantom Manor has become infamous for being one of the scariest iterations of the Haunted Mansion attraction. However, Disneyland Paris has just made some significant updates, removing nooses and references to death by hanging.

Disneyland Paris had a few more of the “scary” scenes, but did not touch the Stretching Room yet. We’ll keep our eyes peeled on any changes at Walt Disney World! #hauntedmansion #disneynews #disneyrides

This begs the question: could it happen here? The Haunted Mansion is one of the most beloved rides in all of Walt Disney World, but that doesn’t mean it’s exempt from critical changes. Look at Splash Mountain, for example! If something is deemed offensive enough, it will be changed, no matter how classic.

That being said, Walt Disney World has made no indication that the Haunted Mansion will be updated or changed in any way.

So if you’re a big fan of the Haunted Mansion, there’s no need to fret! The Ghost Host, Attic Bride, Hatbox Ghost, Hitch-Hiking Ghosts, and all the rest of the 999 haunts are still happy to welcome Foolish Mortals into their not-so-humble abode.
