“Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” finished the weekend in 5th place and brought in $8.4 million. The film has made a total of $1.029 billion globally, which consists of $494 million domestically and $535 million internationally.
The good news for “Star Wars: Rise Of Skywalker” is that it finally made over $1 billion worldwide. This makes it the seventh film released by Disney that has made over $1 billion for the company. The bad news is the movie will end its box office run as the worst-performing movie of the recent Star Wars trilogy.
“Frozen 2” came in 10th place with $3.7 million this weekend. “Frozen 2” has made an impressive $1.402 billion at the box office.
20th Century Fox, the 85-year-old movie studio is no more. Well, it still exists but Disney is dropping the “Fox” from the name and changing the name to 20th Century Studios, mirroring the 20th Century Pictures name the studio had in 1933 before the merger Fox Film in 1935.
Fox Searchlight Pictures will also have a name change, now being called simply Searchlight Pictures. Decisions on the name of 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios have not been made at this time, but discussions are taking place.
The change of removing “Fox” from associated properties has been ongoing with work emails being changed and credits for movies, including “Downhill” featuring Will Ferrell, reflecting the new Fox-less name. The logos of the companies won’t be altered, save for the removal of Fox, and the iconic theme song will remain.
Do you know Duffy? Duffy is Mickey Mouse’s cuddly teddy bear that Minnie gave him so he could travel the world without being lonely. Duffy used to be available for a meet and greet in Epcot but hasn’t been seen in any of the Walt Disney World parks recently. It is exciting however that Aulani Disney Resort and Spa is embracing Disney fans’ love for Duffy by introducing his new friend, CookieAnn. Check out CookieAnn’s story below from DisneyParksBlog:
We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news for fans of Duffy and his friends. CookieAnn, Duffy’s creative, food-loving friend, has arrived on Oʻahu to bring her recipe for friendship to Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa.
In an Aulani-exclusive outfit that celebrates her imaginative spirit, CookieAnn showcases her passion for the culinary arts in a pretty pink outfit adorned with a colorful sweet treat motif. Her look is topped off with her signature chef’s hat, with a beautiful pink flower inspired by the flowers of Hawaiʻi.
So, how did Duffy’s inventive friend arrive at Aulani Resort? Here’s the story of how CookieAnn came to bring her delicious recipes and creative spirit to Hawaiʻi.
Duffy and his friends were planning a lūʻau to welcome CookieAnn, who loves to put things together to create something new and interesting, like delightful recipes and desserts. Duffy and his friends decorated with beautiful flowers like plumerias and prepared snacks and fruits that are enjoyed in Hawaiʻi.
As soon as she arrives, CookieAnn is fascinated by so many things she had never seen or smelled, such as pretty flowers, tropical fruits and a never-ending blue ocean.
All these sights and scents inspired CookieAnn to decorate plain cupcakes with blue icing, slices of star fruit and mango, and a plumeria flower to create a tropical cupcake.
Duffy and his friends are all excited that CookieAnn shared her liking of Hawaiʻi in such a delectable way. They all enjoyed the cupcakes and the special time of friendship together.
You know that whole “New Year’s resolution” thing where people try to cut out sugar or processed foods? Yeah, after all the news we’ve seen today, we don’t know how much longer keeping that resolution will be possible.
Yesterday, we told you about the new Mickey Mouse cookies ‘n cream ice cream sandwiches you can enjoy at home. Now, you can pretend to relive your trip to see the Millennium Falcon at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with these new Star Wars vanilla ice cream sandwiches.
The limited edition ice cream sandwiches are great for those who aren’t as keen on chocolate. The cookies are vanilla, and the ice cream inside is plain vanilla. They are very similar to the Mickey sandwiches, even down to the layout of the box. They are both:
Sold in a pack of six
3.5 ounces each

Do you have a box of Mickey ice cream bars in your freezer? If so, we have some info you’ll want to know: you can now also enjoy Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwich at home!
Nestle has released the Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Sandwich.
Like Nestle’s at-home Mickey Mouse ice cream bar, this one very closely resembles the ice cream found in Disney Parks. The sandwich is a chocolate wafer with a cookies and cream center that mimics Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwich.
Bonus: It’s also made with light ice cream! Since it’s smaller than the original, it’s only 180 calories per sandwich.
The box has the text, “Celebrate Your Birthday With Mickey!” We’ll keep a watch to see if this is a theme that will also appear on other at-home Disney food items.
