Swan & Dolphin’s Annual FOod & Wine Classic Dates and Tickets Released

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is a fantastic resort to stay at with it’s ideal locations in between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. We are excited to share they just released the dates and ticket sales for their 11th Annual Food & Wine Classic. 

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic returns in 2020 for its 11th year Friday, Nov. 6 and Saturday, Nov. 7. Overnight packages and tickets are now on sale at www.FoodandWineClassic.com.

The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic treats guests to a street party festival with unlimited tastings of culinary selections from the hotel’s award-winning restaurants, wine samplings from around the world and a selection of other beverages, all amidst a festive backdrop of live entertainment.

The event features numerous themed areas including a beer garden and hands-on seminars with the hotel’s chefs and certified beverage experts.

Package options which include a pair of tickets to enjoy unlimited tastings and a one- or two-night hotel stay start at $548 for one night or $1,045 for two nights. Advance-purchase, event-only tickets are $155 per person (inclusive of tax and service fees).

The educational seminar experiences may be added to packages for an additional fee.

With 18 restaurants and lounges and a distinguished culinary and beverage team, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort continually earns national recognition for its food and beverage program. The hotel features more than 70 certified wine sommeliers and 1,400 wine selections.

City Works Eatery and Pour House is Now Open @ Disney Springs

Disney Springs got a brand new restaurant. City Works Eatery and Pour House is located next to the NBA Experience on the West Side of Disney World’s downtown shopping district. 

Disney foodies and sports lovers alike are sure to be smitten with a mouth-watering menu featuring American classics with a twist, an enviable number of beers on tap and screens galore to catch the big game. 

One menu highlight is the BBQ Chicken Flatbread. It comes with House-smoked BBQ chicken, mozzarella, Gouda, red onion, housemade BBQ sauce, cilantro. You’ll find it on the City Works shareable menu!

Another menu highlight is the City Works Burger featuring aged white cheddar, shredded iceberg, vine-ripened tomato, red onion, dill pickle, brioche bun!

It goes without saying that with that many beers on tap City Works boasts a massive bar area!

The restaurant is spacious with a classic and stylish interior and unrivalled views of the West End of Disney Springs. This view is of the theatre that will be housing the new production of Cirque du Soliel opening later this year!

Chef Arnaud Lallement of Disney Cruise Line’s “Remy” Named Top 10 Chef

Exclusive to Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, is the adults-only restaurant, Remy. Inspired by the hit Disney-Pixar movie, “Ratatouille,” the French restaurant features stubble nods to the star, Remy. While Chef Remy from the film is simply adorable, we also have to applaud the real-life chef that brings it all together as his menu creations have just landed him on the list of the 10 best chefs in the world!

Chef Arnaud Lallement was recently named one of the world’s best chefs based upon the values of the cooking profession and the exceptional cuisine featured in their restaurants. The list was complied by “Le Chef” and the top 10 chefs were all voted on by two and three-star Michelin chefs. In addition to Remy, Chef Arnaud is also known for his Michelin three-star restaurant, L’Assiette Champenoise, just outside Reims, France.

Guests are invited to meet with a sommelier to taste and pre-select their wines for the evening to give diners an experience that melds classic and contemporary styles into a sophisticated new dining concept. Those who have dined at Remys know that it is a lavish and leisurely affair. The experience starts with a signature chilled Taittinger Champagne cocktail made tableside, followed by eight to nine small courses. The restaurant offers two stellar wine lists: a special French list, with 200 vintages from most every region in France, and Remy’s Vault, a separate and exclusive wine list with rare wines from all over the world.

Hong Kong Disneyland Closing Resort Hotel Restaurants Due To Coronavirus

Despite leaving their resort hotels open while the park has been closed for a week now, Hong Kong Disneyland has decided to close the restaurants at said hotels as a precaution against the spread of the Coronavirus.

The hotel restaurants were closed beginning on February 1st, 2020. It remains unclear when operations might return to normal, at least at this time.

As you might guess, we still do not know how long the Hong Kong Disneyland park closure will last. Shanghai Disney Resort has also been closed since January 25.

According to CNN, at least 213 people are dead and more than 9,709 cases have been confirmed in mainland China, as the virus spreads globally.

Blaze Pizza @ Disney Springs Now Accepting Mobile Ordering

Last week Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs started accepting online orders for their delectable pizza. Guests can use the Blaze Pizza app or website to find Blaze Pizza Lake Buena Vista (what they call the Disney Springs location) to order.

Online ordering at Blaze Pizza allows customers to place an order online and pick up at the location without needing to wait in line. Please note that this online ordering function is a part of Blaze Pizza’s website and app and not the My Disney Experience app.

Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs often sees incredibly long lines, so the ability to order online could save you a lot of time on your next visit to Walt Disney World.
