Disney has announced the Disney Dining Plan WILL return, but timing is still unknown.
As shared by Disney: “We know many of you are also wondering when Disney dining plan packages will return. While we’re not quite ready to share an update on timing, we are planning to bring this guest-favorite option back at a later date. We will also continue to reopen more Resort offerings, including restaurants like ‘Ohana (with the noodles!).”
One of the top questions we’ve received regularly since Walt Disney World began their phased reopening back in Summer 2020 is “when is the Disney Dining plan returning?” This morning Walt Disney World released their 2022 packages and tickets for guests to begin booking. Unfortunately, Disney Dining packages remain unavailable.
In the announcement of the new 2022 package and ticket availability, Disney notes, “Disney Dining packages remain unavailable at this time.” The Walt Disney World website continues to read: “Dining Plans: At this time, Disney dining plans cannot be added to reservations. Check back soon for more information.”
Our hope was that when 2022 packages were released (today), we would hopefully see some sort of update on when/if Disney Dining packages would once again be available for either the remaining of 2021 or the new 2022 packages.
STK Steakhouse, the signature restaurant located in The Landing section of Disney Springs, is no longer accepting the Disney Dining Plan. Guests with the Disney Dining Plan that have a reservation at STK should contact or visit Guest Relations to remedy this situation.
Previously, STK Steakhouse required 2 dining plan requirements for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Disney World’s website still lists the 2019 requirements and shows the restaurant as accepting the Disney Dining Plan, which is not the accurate information as of 2020.
