Virtual Viewing of Disney Cruise Line’s ‘Tangled: The Musical’

Disney Cruise Line Extends Suspension of Departures through September 30, 2020

Another update came in today from Disney Cruise Line. As we previously shared, an extension of suspended departures was placed on all of the Disney Cruise Line fleet through September 15, 2020, with Disney Magic ship’s departure suspension through October 2, 2020. Now, Disney Cruise Line has extended the suspension of departures for Disney Dream, Fantasy and Wonder through September 30, 2020.

As shared on the Disney Cruise Line website, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has extended its suspension of cruise departures from the United States through September 30, 2020.

In line with this direction and with the well-being of our Guests and team members our top priority, Disney Cruise Line has suspended all new departures of the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder through Wednesday, September 30. As previously announced, Disney Cruise Line has already suspended Disney Magic sailings through October 2, 2020.

Guests booked on affected sailings who have paid their reservation in full will be offered the choice of a cruise credit to be used for a future sailing or a full refund. Guests who have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far. These Guests and travel agents will receive an email from Disney Cruise Line outlining details and next steps.

Guests who booked their reservation through a travel agent should contact them directly with any questions. Those who booked directly with Disney Cruise Line and have questions after receiving their email should call us at (866) 325-6685 or (407) 566-7797.

Disney Cruise Line Offers New “Cruise Date Flexibility”

We previously shared the suspension of departures for the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Now, Disney Cruise Line has offered a new “Cruise Date Flexibility” option you may want to check out!

According to the Disney Cruise Line website:

For any cruises booked by August 31, 2020 for sailings through March 2021, you can rest assured knowing you can change your sail date up to 15 days prior to departure.

Today, having peace of mind in your travel plans is more important than ever. This temporary modification to our standard booking policy allows your family to adjust your sail date should you need to.

Please note:

  • This offer is for new bookings made by August 31, 2020 and existing bookings (within the departure date window)
  • Applicable to cruises departing through March 31, 2021
  • Guests can change their sail date up to 15 days prior, for any cruise commencing prior to April 1, 2022

Important Details:

  • Guests who have booked before August 31, 2020 have the ability to change their sail date up to 15 days prior to embarkation.
  • Guests scheduled to sail on or before March 31, 2021 may take advantage of this offer.
  • Guests who wish to change their sail date must move to a future sailing that commences prior to April 1, 2022. Standard prevailing rates will apply.
  • Guests cannot change their reservation back to the original sail date after taking advantage of this offer.
  • Should you cancel your new sail date, any cancellation fees applicable to the original sail date will be deferred and applied as a minimum cancellation fee to the future sailing.
  • Standard air cancellation fees apply for Guests who booked flights through Disney Cruise Line.

Disney Cruise Line To Extend Future Cruise Credit Through March 2022

Disney Cruise Line is reaching out to guests who have had to cancel their cruises or move their sail date due to concerns about COVID-19. Future cruise credits have now been extended for use on sailings that depart by March 31, 2022.

The following message has been issued to Disney Cruise Line guests:

At Disney Cruise Line we understand that these are challenging times, but we take comfort in knowing that brighter days are ahead. We can’t wait to welcome our Guests back onboard and return to making magic at sea. During this time of uncertainty, we want to provide our Guests with even more flexibility. Guests whose sailings were cancelled due to COVID-19 were previously offered the choice of either a future cruise credit equal to 25%, 125% or 150% of their original voyage fare to be used within 15 months of their original sailing or a full refund. Disney Cruise Line is now extending the use of future cruise credit to sailings that depart by March 31, 2022. The credit has been automatically added.

For Guests with a 125% or 150% future cruise credit, they may place a reservation on hold by applying it as a payment option when booking a new reservation online beginning Wednesday, June 3, 2020. For Guests with a 25% future cruise credit, it may be applied as a payment option beginning Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Once the modified reservation is paid in full, any remaining future cruise credit will be applied to the shipboard account as a non-refundable onboard credit.
