A new series inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Oscar®-winning feature film Monsters, Inc. is coming to Disney+ streaming service in 2020. The new series, Monsters at Work, from Disney Television Animation takes fans back to Monstropolis, where they’ll meet a new cast of monsters, including Tylor played by Ben Feldman and Millie played by Aisha Tyler. Don’t worry! The new series will feature special appearances from the film’s favorite buddies, Mike and Sulley, who will again be voiced by Billy Crystal and John Goodman.
At the D23 Expo, Feldman and Tyler shared a look at their characters and revealed that the series takes place immediately after Monstropolis makes the switch to laugh power.
Disney+ is available for streaming on November 12th of this year.
Hilary Duff made a surprise appearance at the D23 Expo to reveal that she is reprising her role of Lizzie McGuire in an all-new Disney+ series. The series, from Terri Minsky, who created the original show, will follow Lizzie as a soon to be 30 year old as she navigates through New York City.
“It is so great to be home,” Duff said, before revealing details about the upcoming series. “The good news is, just like me and everybody who loved Lizzie and grew up with her, Lizzie’s also grown up. She’s older, she’s wiser—and she has a much bigger shoe budget, which is super exciting. She has her dream job, she has kind of the perfect life right now. She’s working as an apprentice to a fancy New York City decorator. She has her dream guy who owns a cool SoHo restaurant. She has her dream apartment in Brooklyn, and she’s getting ready to celebrate her 30th birthday.” If you think everything is perfect, don’t worry. Duff reassured fans, “She’s still dealing with that 13-year-old no-holds-barred animated Lizzie that’s constantly babbling in her adult Lizzie head.”
Some of the biggest announcements at D23 have revolved around the ever-changing Epcot, including a Journey of Water interactive walkthrough maze inspired by Moana, the Walt Disney Imagineering Presents the Epcot Experience center, and even a new park logo:
Here’s a look at the overall concept art released.
As an overview, you’ll have a new Food and Beverage concept taking over the Electric Umbrella. Mouse Gear will also be getting an overhaul and remodel, so a new store/merchandise concept also makes an appearance in the art. As far as outdoor spaces are concerned, we’ll see the addition of a new Festival Center, as well as an Epcot garden. In keeping with the outdoor garden feel, the Journey of Water trail will lead guests over to The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion. In the middle of World Showcase Lagoon, you have the premiere of “Epcot Forever”, to be superseded by “A Celebration of Disney Music” in May of 2020.

Who is excited for these new changes coming to EPCOT?
It was just announced at the D23 Expo that Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new original series coming to the Disney+ streaming service. The Series Producer, Kathleen Kennedy, states, “We have all the scripts written we’re ready to start shooting next year.”
Ewan McGregor played Obi-Wan Kenobi in all three of the Star Wars prequels “The Phantom Menace,” “Attack of the Clones,” and “Revenge of the Sith.”
Besides the heavily hyped trailer for The Mandalorian, the D23 Expo also saw other trailers get revealed for Disney’s new streaming service Disney+, set to be released on November 12th.
Here are a few of the those trailers;
Lady and the Tramp
A new live action version of the animated classic the Lady and the Tramp will be coming to the streaming service.
Noelle
In Disney+’s holiday comedy (and who doesn’t love holiday movies) “Noelle,” Kris Kringle’s daughter is full of Christmas spirit and holiday fun, but wishes she could do something “important” like her beloved brother Nick. Her brother is destined to take over from their father this Christmas but it about to crumble from all the pressure. In an effort to help, Noelle suggests he take a break and get away but he never returns. Noelle must go on an epic adventure to find her brother and bring him back in time to save Christmas.
The World According to Jeff Goldblum
This new series by National Geographic has me really interested. The show features Jeff Goldblum as we see the world through his always inquisitive and highly entertaining mind.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series
The new 10-episode scripted series, is not a remake of the original movie but rather a modern take on the classic from 15 years ago. The series is set as the real-life East High, where the original movie was filmed, and follows a group of students as they countdown to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical.”
