MUSICAL Christmas Popcorn Bucket Coming to Disney World

Via DisDining.com

Over the past few years, several types of Disney merchandise have gained a cult-like following — things like spirit jerseys and Loungefly backpacks. Maybe one of the more surprising pieces of popular merchandise is Disney popcorn buckets. From Mickey Mummy popcorn buckets to ones that look like the famous Mickey balloons to ones exclusively for Annual Passholders, Disney is designing popcorn buckets to cover nearly every Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars fandom. They even created a Figment popcorn bucket for last year’s International Festival of the Arts — and people waited in 5 hours lines to get their hands on it!

Now, the Christmas season at Disney Parks is less than a week away, and Disney Imagineers and Cast Members are hard at work turning the Parks into magical wintry worlds. Every year, as part of the holiday celebration, Disney releases specialty popcorn buckets. Sometimes it’s a Christmas tree or jingle bells in the shape of a Mickey head. But this year, Disney is going all out and treating a truly unique popcorn bucket.

This year, Disney will be creating a musical popcorn bucket! Complete with images that move around the bucket! Disney Parks and Disney Eats shared a video of the gorgeous bucket on Instagram.

This new Christmas popcorn bucket will be released at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort beginning December 11. In the past, popcorn buckets have sold out in just a couple of days. So, if you plan to be in the Parks on November 11, we recommend getting in line as soon as possible if you want to make this popcorn bucket a part of your collection.

At this time, the popcorn buckets will only be available at select popcorn carts throughout Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Disney has not said if they will be available for mobile order at certain locations.

Cast Members Keep Walt’s Legacy Alive With Ultimate Toy Drive

Every year, Disney participates in a toy drive to help raise money and toys for the Toys For Tots program. Disney has been incredibly involved with Toys for Tots for nearly 80 years, and even designed the well-known red train logo that the Toys for Tots program still uses to this day. Guests can bring toys to various Disney locations in the weeks leading up to Christmas. But Disney Guests are not the only ones working to provide for those less fortunate during the holidays, Disney Cast Members also work to keep Walt’s Legacy alive and participate in their own Ultimate Toy Drive.

This year, Cast Members from the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney, Hong Kong Disney, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort all came together to donate toys and bring more awareness to an incredible cause. Disney Parks Blog shared more on the annual tradition that Cast Members look forward to:

Toys for Tots

From collecting thousands of toys at select locations across property, to assisting with the sorting and distribution of donated items at local Toys for Tots warehouses, Walt Disney World cast members and Disney VoluntEARS are bringing joy to children in need this holiday season.

“During this holiday season, giving back to me means creating happiness for others and not expecting anything in return,” said cast member Araceli Medrano. “Working at World of Disney where we have multiple Toys for Tots donation drop-boxes, and getting to do something I know is going to make someone else happy, is a gift in and of itself.”

Overall, tens of thousands of gifts were collected, gift bags were created, and toys were donated to the Marines, who will, in turn, give those to children in need in their areas.

Disney Cast Members are not the only ones who can help those less fortunate this holiday season. Guests visiting Disney properties this holidays season are also encouraged to bring new and unwrapped toys to the Resort and put them in designated Toys for Tots boxes. It is important to check the exact dates for when Disney will stop collecting toys, as different Resorts will have different deadlines. You can also donate through Disney by donating through the shopDisney website.

If you are unable to make it to Disney, you can always check the Toys For Tots website to find locations taking donations in your area. The site will also list cutoff dates for the different drop-off locations.

Big Snowfall Hits Disney Park

If you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you are likely not going to see much snow hit the ground, unless it is combined with soap. But, there are other Disney Parks around the world that do have snow hit, and as long as there is not a snowstorm involved, it is quite stunning.

Recently, we reported that Disneyland Paris saw its first official snowfall of the season, but the snow was very light and barely made an appearance on the facades of attractions. Now that the snow has had some time to come into its own, we are starting to see a gorgeous snow-filled Disneyland Park!

Alea (@aleacabri) took to Twitter to share some photos of Disneyland Paris with a hefty amount of snow, and it looks stunning. Alea mentioned, the images do look like they are right out of a storybook, which is very fitting considering Guests who are seeing the views are entering world of fantasy.

At Disneyland Paris this year, Guests can enjoy Disney’s Enchanted Christmas. The event is filled with “sparkling decorations, Disney Characters dressed in their finest seasonal outfits and a breathtaking new parade bring magical merry moments in a picture perfect Christmas card scene.” You can watch a preview of what to expect below!
