EPCOT Performer Pam Brody Has Passed Away

The longtime pianist and entertainer at EPCOT’s Rose & Crown Pub, Pam Brody, sadly passed away on July 11. Since the news broke, the Disney community has mourned the loss of one of their favorite entertainers from the park.

Nicknamed “The Button Lady” for her extravagant outfits, Brody worked for Walt Disney World for over 20 years, bringing lasting memories to hundreds of thousands of guests. Even after retiring, Brody would return to EPCOT’s United Kingdom Pavilion each year on her birthday. Some of these guests have shared their favorite memories and experiences with Brody online.

Carol Stein, fellow entertainer and pianist at EPCOT stated, “she has a following because she made everybody feel special. She was the entertainer, but she focused her energy on the guests, making them all filled with joy and happiness.”

Eric Pinder, former EPCOT performer, commented, “she really had a way of connecting with people and making them feel like they were a part of this big family in the pub. I always loved sitting with her backstage, too, because she was very mischievous.”

Mario Rios, longtime friend of Brody, shared, “she touched everyone. And she is considered a legend at Epcot.”

Disney Cast Members Celebrate Reopening of ‘Ohana!

July 9 was the big day! That’s right, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort reopened it’s flagship restaurant, ‘Ohana! While most fans were thrilled to hear ‘Ohana was once again reopening, the amount of people shocked that the beloved noodles didn’t make the first cut of the menu was astonishing! Disney listened, and the noodles returned. Now, the restaurant is officially welcoming the Disney family back to the table, and Cast Members took to social media to celebrate!

As shared via Walt Disney World Cast & Community Facebook: “Ohana means family, and family means no noodle gets left behind or forgotten. A big congrats to the Cast of ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for their grand reopening today. The day has truly been one filled with joy and celebration as this Cast “ohana” is welcomed back to their home location… and yes, they promised us the noodles are back, too.”

Cast Members Celebrate Reopening & Anniversary of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Little by little we are seeing more and more of our favorite Walt Disney World experiences return! As more Disney fans head back to the parks, we thankfully get to see Disney Resort hotels reopen. While Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Disney Vacation Club Villas have been open for some time now, the general public has been unable to book a stay at the BoardWalk until recently. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn officially reopened on July 2! Welcome back Cast Members! Now, we’re eager to see what Walt Disney World has in store next. We do know thus far that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will reopen soon, along with Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge now having a scheduled reopening date.
