Legacy Passholders Will Have Access To “Special Opportunity” at Disney California Adventure Event Next Month

Next month, Disney California Adventure will be hosting a special ticketed event with shopping and dining opportunities, plus entertainment. Disney has now announced that Legacy Passholders attending the event will have “access to a special opportunity.” Details about the special opportunity have yet to be announced.

For the event, Cast Members are being called back to work at Cars Land, Pacific Wharf, Pixar Pier, and Grizzly Peak Airfield. There will also be six festival-style booths and Buena Vista Street will participate.

The event also promises entertainment, but no attractions will be open.

Disneyland to Recall 1,000 Cast Members Ahead of Ticketed California Adventure Experience

While Disneyland Resort remains officially closed for almost a full year now, we are hopeful today as we’re learning a recall of 1,000 Cast Members is in the works as Disneyland plans to offer a limited-time ticketed experience.

As reported by KTLA News: Hundreds of Disneyland Resort employees will return to work as a “limited-time ticketed experience” opens next month inside California Adventure, which has been closed for nearly a year now due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The cast members — Disney parlance for its employees — received notice of the new offering Monday in a letter from Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock as DCA celebrated its 20th anniversary.” The experience will feature “world-famous food and beverage offerings from around the resort, the latest merchandise and unique, carefully crafted entertainment experiences,” according to a statement from the Disneyland Resort. It will take place multiple days per week.

While we will still have to wait to ride the California Adventure attractions, we’re thrilled for a chance to step foot in the park even if it’s for a dining experience. With Disneyland closed since last March, we’re so thankful to see small steps toward officially reopening and Cast Members returning to work!

Sneak Peek of Frozen 2 Coming to Hollywood Studios

For a limited time this fall, guests visiting Disney Parks and sailing with Disney Cruise Line will get an early glimpse of scenes from “Frozen 2.” Beginning Nov. 3, a special look at moments from the film will be presented in the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure park, for guests gathered to experience the “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” stage spectacular.

Sneak Peeks of the film will also be shown in the Studio Theater at Walt Disney Studios park in Disneyland Paris starting Nov. 4, as part of the Walt Disney Presents attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning on Nov. 5, and onboard Disney Cruise Line during the month of November.

In Disney’s new adventure, “Frozen 2,” Elsa sets out together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, on a dangerous but remarkable journey to discover why she was born with magical powers. The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Elsa once feared her powers were too much for the world. Now, she must hope they are enough.

Disney’s “Frozen 2” arrives in U.S. theaters on November 22, 2019

Avengers Coming to California Adventure and Disneyland Paris

California Adventure and Disneyland Paris will new Super Hero themed lands in the future. That was already known. What wasn’t known was what they would be called.

Yesterday, Disney announced these fantastic lands will be called Avengers Campus.

When guests visit Avengers Campus, they will become part of an interconnected, global story that spans from California to Paris to Hong Kong with the Avengers recruiting new extraordinary people to join them.

Inside the pavilion at D23 Expo, guests will be able to see an in-story experience where they’ll learn why the Avengers are building these campuses. And on Sunday, more details will be shared about what the guests will be able to experience when they open.

The pavilion will also feature many of the attractions and lands coming to sites around the world including TRON Lightcycle Run coming to Magic Kingdom Park, as well as additional expansions in Tokyo and Hong Kong.

This will only be one of many announcements at this year’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. Stay tuned for more updates.
