A precious bounty has just landed at Walt Disney World in the form of this new Baby Yoda backpack by Loungefly. The backpack is styled after The Child’s iconic floating pod crib, so it’ll look as if you’re carrying him on your back while on any of your adventures.
Two new Baby Yoda (a.k.a. “The Child”) MagicBands are floating into Walt Disney World!
This first limited release band has a red base with mountain ranges and orange clouds in the background. Baby Yoda floats in his crib on one end of the band.
This MagicBand was $29.99.
The band itself is purple with more yellow stars and the Star Wars logo.
Do you ever wish you could step into the world of “The Mandalorian”? With this new Baby Yoda Magic Shot inside Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can! In photographic form, at least.
Baby Yoda, otherwise known as The Child, floats alongside you and your family in his little hover pod in this new Magic Shot being offered by Disney PhotoPass. Next time you’re at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, head on over to the exit path leading over to Toy Story Land and you’ll find a PhotoPass photographer (we’ve seen them on either side of the path) waiting to take your photo with Baby Yoda. Do note that these Magic Shots do take a while to load onto your My Disney Experience account, so be patient, you must.
The lovable creature was made famous by the Disney+ series, “The Mandalorian”. The show debuted to critical acclaim and was even nominated for 15 Emmy Awards. If you want to take home your own Baby Yoda, you can find one that talks or one that’s especially good to cuddle right here at Walt Disney World.
While Build-A-Bear Workshop has always offered a variety of Star Wars-inspired bears and even a few droids as part of their mix-and-match plush collection, soon guests at the popular stuffed toy workshop can create and cradle their very own child from “The Mandalorian”: Baby Yoda.
According to Business Insider, Build-A-Bear is responding to the viral Baby Yoda craze by developing their own stuffable youngling.
In a presentation today, Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John said:
“I’m excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined. We now will have The Child, also known as Baby Yoda.”
The company collaborated in partnership with Disney and Lucasfilm to develop the plush after the premiere of “The Mandalorian” in order to meet the growing demand for more adorable Baby Yoda merch. Their customer demographic is slowly seeing an increased trend of older consumers as more and more adult fans crave licensed merchandise and collectibles.
The new Baby Yoda plush is expected to hit Build-A-Bear Workshop locations nationwide in the coming months.
