Man Arrested After Attacking Teens In Disney World

Yet another Disney World fight has occurred, this time resulting in the arrest of a man who says he has brain cancer.

There have been several fights breaking out at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort over the course of the last few months. Perhaps the most notable happened earlier this summer when a massive brawl between families at Magic Kingdom in the shadow of Cinderella Castle resulted in arrests and multiple hospitalizations.

Another brawl that was caught on video saw two Disney Park Guests at Disneyland fight in the midst of the popular nighttime spectacular Fantasmic!

Now, we have another Disney World fight to report.

Ramon Aponte Jr, 41, was arrested by the Orange County Police Department after allegedly attacking two teenagers who jumped in front of him in line while waiting to ride Toy Story Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The incident occurred earlier this summer.

According to the report, the pair continued to heckle Aponte Jr. from further up the line, leading to shoving, and eventually, a punch was thrown before he ordered them to back up as he had brain cancer. Once they got up to the front of the line and a Disney Cast Member asked how many, the two teenagers said “Two.” That’s when Aponte Jr. replied “Two a**holes.”

The name-calling prompted more fighting and the three were kicked out of the line. However, the fighting continued and rose to violence outside of the attraction. One of the teenagers was shoved into a pole, forcing him to fall forward and complained of a “concussion.” He was later taken to the hospital.

Several Disney Cast Members noted that Aponte Jr. was the aggressor and this led to him being arrested.

All three Disney Park Guests were given bans by Walt Disney World Resort.

Man Arrested After Attempting to Bring Gun To Hollywood Studios

Another day, another gun at Disney World. This time, it was at Hollywood Studios. The weapon was detected by Walt Disney World’s tireless security team. This comes just on the heels of another incident.  Reports of people attempting to bring guns to the theme parks are on the rise, 2020 saw more attempts to bring a gun than any other year before it and that trend has unfortunately not slowed down.

35 year old Nathaniel Franco Freeman reportedly sat his bag down on a security table to be inspected when he got visibly agitated and opened the bag. He then asked the woman he was with if she had removed something. According to the arrest report he turned to the woman with him and asked “did you take it out?” while searching his own bag.

A search of the bag found a 40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun concealed in the bag with 13 rounds. Authorities were called and Orange County deputies conducted on check on Freeman and the weapons serial number and discovered Freeman did not have a concealed carry permit.

Florida law permits the carrying of concealed weapons, but only with a valid permit and private property owners do have the right to disallow weapons of any kind, permit or not. Disney does not allow the carrying of any weapons on its property. Freeman was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. It is not known at this time if he is banned from Disney Parks in the future. However, given Disney’s past decisions regarding incidents like this one, it is likely.

Man arrested at Disney World Resort Hotel

An alleged attack against a woman at the Walt Disney World property in Central Florida has led to an arrest and charges against her assailant.

The Disney World arrest involves a man in Orange County, Florida, who allegedly raped a woman at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

On Monday, Eyvor Gomez, age 49, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, was arrested and booked into the Orange County jail, according to FOX 35 Orlando.

Per the arrest affidavit, the female victim told officers she was at a bar inside a restaurant at Disney’s Dolphin Resort when a man approached her. The two began to talk as she was having a drink at the bar, and shortly before the bar closed for the night, Gomez suggested the two step outside away from Disney security surveillance cameras because he had brought his own liquor on the premises.

The officers’ report states that the woman went with Gomez, and at that time, investigators say he began to make unwanted advances toward her. When the woman refused his advances, Gomez pushed her against a glass wall, causing her to lose consciousness, according to the Orange County Sheriff‘s office.

Though Gomez had suggested the two step out of the view of security cameras, one of the Disney security cameras caught footage of the woman as she attempted to crawl away from Gomez, who then proceeded to sexually assault the woman and take a photo of her with his smartphone during the attack against her.

According to Orange County Sheriff‘s deputies, the female victim, followed by Gomez, made her way back into the lobby. She saw a group of strangers and asked them to pretend to know her so she could escape her attacker once and for all.

Gomez was reportedly identified by Disney Security because of an incident that took place the previous evening between him and his wife.

“There was an argument and his wife was escorted back to their room,” reads the arrest affidavit. “[Gomez] matched the description and photograph provided by witnesses. Disney confirmed through surveillance video.”

When investigators caught up to Gomez, they questioned him about the alleged attack. Initially, Gomez completely denied having any contact whatsoever with the female victim, according to police records. Then he changed his story, claiming that he and the woman only engaged in consensual kissing.

He denied anything beyond that, saying he did not force himself on the woman.

Gomez has been charged with sexual battery.

Cast Members Among Those Arrested in Human Trafficking Sting

WESH Orlando reports that Walt Disney World Cast Members were among more than 100 people arrested in a prostitution, human trafficking, and child predator sting.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said that 108 people were arrested. Along with some Disney Cast Members was at least one man who works at Fun Spot America, another Orlando theme park.

Judd identified one of the suspects as 27-year-old Xavier Jackson from Kissimmee. He is accused of sending sexual pictures to what he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

“Did I mention that he just happens to be a lifeguard at the Polynesian Resort for Disney?” Judd said. “You think there’s a few children around there? That’s right, I didn’t stutter. He was a lifeguard at the Polynesian Resort. And was bragging about that.”

Most of the arrests were for soliciting a prostitute. Polk County detectives, with other agencies, identified prostitutes who posted advertisements online and the people searching for those prostitutes. The oldest person arrested was 67, while the youngest was 17. They arrested one woman for trafficking another woman. The investigation is still ongoing and suspects could face more charges.
