Disney Reveals Annual Passholder Discount

Not only has Walt Disney World Resort released a new dining promotion that has seemingly replaced the former Disney Dining Plan, but they are also rolling out Resort Hotel room discounts for all Guests. And if you’re one of Disney World’s Annual Passholders, the discounts get even sweeter!

It’s a great time to be a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder… especially if you’re looking to book a late spring or early summer vacation to Disney. Not only is this right around the time Disney has announced TRON Lightcycle / Run will finally open at Magic Kingdom Park, but Disney is offering a way to save on the budget.

Available now for booking, Annual Passholders can save up to 30% on select Disney Resort Hotels for 2023’s last spring and early summer, valid for most stayed between May 1 through July 10, 2023.

For eligibility, Passholders must present a valid Walt Disney World Annual Pass at check-in during the valid travel dates of most nights between May 1, 2023, to July 10, 2023. Length of stay requirements includes a minimum of 1 night, with a maximum of a 14-night stay. Details include:

  • Savings based on the non-discounted price a non-Passholder pays for the same room.
  • Length of stay requirements may apply.
  • Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than two adults per room at Disney Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts, and Studios at Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts.
  • Advance reservations required.
  • Cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.
  • Offer excludes the following room types: 3-bedroom villas and Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
  • Valid admission and a theme park reservation are required to enjoy theme parks and special events, and are not included in this offer.

Disney to Offer Increased Discount for Annual Passholders for Limited Time

Disney has announced a welcome limited-time increased merchandise discount for Walt Disney World annual passholders.

Here are all the details from “The Passholder Buzz” on the My Disney Experience App website:

Limited-Time Increase on Merchandise Discount Starting September 14, 2022

From September 14 through October 14, 2022, the Passholder merchandise discount will temporarily increase from 20% to 30% at owned and operated locations across Walt Disney World Resort.* Now is your chance to put together your “spooky season” look with items from the newest Halloween collections or find that special Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration must-have! For merchandise discounts, each Passholder must present a valid Passholder ID and government-issued photo ID at time of purchase to receive the discount.* And here’s a tip: save time at select locations when you scan and pay for merchandise items right on your phone using Merchandise Mobile Checkout on the My Disney Experience app!

While people are very grateful for a merchandise discount increase, many would love to see the return of ticket sales for annual passes. The only ticket available for purchase is the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, which is only available for Florida Residents and allows guests to visit on most weekdays throughout the year.

Disney Confirms Exclusive Annual Pass Event Will Return Later This Year

The Disney Parks around the world are continuing to update safety protocols as well as slowly bring back fan-favorite offerings as the world continues to fight against the ongoing pandemic.

Walt Disney World recently announced Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would return for the 2022 season as well as Oogie Boogie Bash over at Disneyland Resort. Now, another fan-favorite event has just been confirmed to return later this year.

At Disneyland Paris, there are a lot of new and exciting experiences Guests can experience at both Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland Park — including the current 30th anniversary, which began on March 6, 2022 and allows Guests to “dream bigger, laugh louder and smile wider than ever before” as they immerse themselves into a spectacular and “one-of-a-kind 30th anniversary wonderland.”

Not only can Guests look forward to visiting Disneyland Paris during the 30th anniversary celebrations, but now they can look forward to attending the exclusive Annual Pass party, which is set to return later this year.

Disney Adds Annual Passholder Perk Offering More Savings

Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders are given much more than access to booking reservations to the Disney Parks.

Throughout the year, Disney offers exclusive discounts and perks that are only available to those who hold the Annual Passes.

At this point, the selling of Annual Passes has not returned at Walt Disney World Resort. While the Disney World Annual Pass Incredi-Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass, Disney Pirate Pass, and Disney Pixie Dust passes are all still noted on the website, they are all listed as “unavailable” and have not been available for purchase since November of last year.

Current Annual Passholders can still renew their passes online, meaning that they are in a select group when it comes to accessing massive benefits and perks that come with being a passholder.

Through March 17, Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders can now get 25% off their purchases of $75.00 or more.
