ECV Driver Refuses to Apologize After Medics Were Called For Disney Guest

Via InsideTheMagic.net

Walt Disney World Resort offers wheelchair and electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) rentals to help Guests navigate the Disney Parks. While ECVs and scooters are extremely helpful to disabled Guests and those with mobility issues, they’re occasionally involved in accidents when they’re going too fast or Guests step in front of them.

Medics were called to the scene of a scooter accident at San Angel Inn, a restaurant in the Mexico World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT. A Guest was run down by a scooter after standing up to move tables. The victim shared their experience on Reddit.

“As we were relocating, by following the hostess, a woman on a scooter hit me from behind,” u/welkikitty recalled. “She hit me with such force I fell down.”

The interior of San Angel Inn, empty.

The victim was okay, but the woman in the ECV was furious. “She was screaming she was going to sue Disney for lack of accessibility in that area,” the Guest explained. “Medics were called to help me, but she kept yelling she was injured too (not sure how). We were so fed up we didn’t get to eat. We just decided to leave.”

Despite complaints from the ECV driver, Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members did their best to make things right for the Guest who was hit: “We did get a magical moment back at our hotel by the manager telling us to order whatever we wanted off the room service menu, and he comp’ed.”

Bluey Coming to the Parks?

It’s official, the world cannot get enought of Bluey the dog. The Australian children’s TV show has made a big splash in the United States. At the peak of its popularity, Disney+ managed to snag Bluey international streaming rights, which leaves fans with a questions: is Bluey coming to the Parks?

It totally makes sense why Disney fans love the show Bluey. The show features lessons about growing up, family values, and side-splitting humor. Similiar to many Disney shows, parents feel that they can watch and enjoy this show alongside their children.

Bluey premiered on October 1, 2018 on ABC Kids in Australia. The program, which Joe Brumm created, was commissioned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the British Broadcasting Corporation. The show follows Bluey, a six-year old Blue Heeler puppy. Bluey is creative, adventurous, and full of energy. She is joined in the show by her little sister, Bingo, her father, Bandit, and her mother Chilli. Bluey and Bingo are partners on a multitude of adventures. The show is uplifting, comical, and has impactful life lessons.

When they show started getting international attention, the Walt Disney Company knew they wanted their piece of the pie. In June of 2019, Disney secured the in international broadcasting rights to Bluey. The show has since been able to stream on the Disney+ service as well as on the Disney Junior television network.

Bluey and fam

Because Bluey is available on Disney+ many wonder if the next step for Disney will be integrating Bluey and her family into Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. Disney Junior characters already have a strong presence in the Disney Parks, so adding a Bluey character interaction seems like a logical move for the company.

Unfortunatly, while Disney does have the international streaming rights, the BBC studios still has ownership of the merchandising rights. This means that as of now, the Walt Disney Company will not be able to add any Bluey and family character interactions. The situation is unfortunate because clearly their is a demand for Bluey in the Parks at any capacity.

For now, the best shot at seeing Bluey in real life is by going to see the performing tour that is running called Blueys Big Play. Disney did not make this tour. Fans will have to wait and see if the Walt Disney Company will ever be able to succeed in getting Bluey into the Parks.

History Was Made at the runDisney Half Marathon

Via DisDining.com

This past weekend marked an exciting moment in runDisney history. During the Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend that began on February 24, one runner accomplished something truly spectacular.

Neely Gracey Makes History

On Sunday, February 26, the Disney Princess Half Marathon took place at Walt Disney World Resort. The half marathon is the culmination of the race weekend, which also includes Disney Princess Yoga, the Disney Princess 5K, and the Disney Princess Enchanted 10K. However, no event is more important than the half marathon. The race draws in runners and Disney fans from all over the country.

This weekends princess half marathon was a tough one. On top of the already grueling run, temperatures in the high 80’s did not make the race any easier for it’s participants. Despite the conditions, one woman had no problem making history.

run disney winner

Neely Gracey, from Colorado, was the runner that was the overall winner last weekend. This accomplishment makes Gracey the third ever woman to accomplish this feat. In addition to half-marathon, Gracey also ran the 10k the day before.

This win from Gracey is a huge for Run Disney history. She joins the female winners circle that includes Giovanna Martins, who won the 2017 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, and Jackie Pirtlehall, who won the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon.

Another RunDisney in the Books

Graceys win is an amazing culmination to a successful run disney weekend. RunDisney continues to become more and more popular, and the competition gets tougher. The course this year took runners on a meandering tour through the Walt Disney World Resort. Runners started near Spaceship Earth, continued to run through Magic Kingdom, Fantasyland, and Adventureland. The race then ends back again towards EPCOT. The race is on mostly flat ground, and their are lots of fun interactions along the way.

The running community is so proud of Gracey for her incredible accomplishment. This Princess Half Marathon Weekend was another successful event for runDisney.

Guest Reportedly Seen Picking Lice Out of Child’s Hair While Waiting In Line

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are the best family-friendly destinations. The Most Magical Place on Earth and the Happiest Place on Earth, respectively, each Resort is full of memories to be made.

Unfortunately, not all memories made at a Disney Park are positive ones…

Disneyland Resort’s Disney California Adventure is home to Pixar Pier. This area includes Toy Story Midway Mania, an attraction starring beloved characters such as Buzz Lightyear, Sheriff Woody, and more.

The attraction can be described as the ultimate carnival game, as Guests don 3D carnival game goggles and shoot at virtual targets. The ride vehicles feature enough room for Guests to lean back and rest their heads against them.

The ride vehicles also zip Guests around, spinning and twirling around Andy’s Room.

Guests on Toy Story Mania

This attraction and area are so popular similar areas have been erected in Walt Disney World. Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land houses Toy Story Mania, a very similar attraction.

Toy Story Midway Mania is so fun, it’s hard to imagine the magic being ruined while waiting in line…Except for this.

A fan on Reddit asked everyone to share the worst thing they’d ever seen at Disney, and this answer definitely delivered…

Although there is very little area for lice to thrive on this attraction (no carpet or other upholstery), sitting in the same seat as a lice-infested stranger is still an icky thought. It’s enough to make you itch just reading it! The next time you plan a visit to Disney with the entire family, give everyone a lice check just in case…

Disney Cast Members

It’s important to note that Cast Members do all they can to keep Guests as safe as possible. But unfortunately, some things are just out of their hands.
