Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser SELLS OUT After Prices Are Lowered

A model of the Halcyon starcruiser is viewable by guests for a limited time in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. When guests book the two-night vacation experience for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, debuting at Walt Disney World Resort in 2022, they will stay aboard this glamorous ship as they plunge into an all-immersive Star Wars story that goes beyond anything Disney has created before. (David Roark, photographer)

In a shocking turn of events, Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has made a drastic turnaround. Just a couple of weeks ago, the interactive voyage wasn’t able to retain Guests. The immersive hotel has been criticized for its hefty prices since it opened. Desperate to fill the empty beds on the Galactic Starcruiser, Disney offered an incredible new deal that was nearly impossible to pass up.

Back on March 1, 2022, the Walt Disney Company debuted something that had never been done before by Disney. The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was a one-of-a-kind experience, and they were hoping that the massive Star Wars fans of the world would be obsessed. Unlike any other hotel accommodation at the Walt Disney World Resort, staying in the Galactic Starcruiser is a completely immersive experience.

Guests will board the Starcruiser for a two-night journey where they will live like a passenger and be immersed in an interactive story that will unfold before their eyes. Everything from the meals, character interactions, sleeping cabins, and entertainment is all themes exceptionally well. Guests also get to enjoy a fun interactive day at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Unfortunately, a two-night trip on the Galactic Starcruiser does cost a pretty penny. Staying at the hotel costs $4,809 for a two-night room. Obviously, this price is incredibly inaccessible for many visiting the Parks. Because of this, many Disney fans have not been booking rooms here. The hotel has remained mostly empty in the past months.

To try and salvage this, Disney just announced a special Disney Vacation Club Member Voyage. This voyage was discounted by 30%! The voyage, which will take place from August 19-21, has just sold out.

Looks like the Walt Disney Company has finally cracked the code as to why people weren’t booking rooms. Hopefully, this sellout will mean more discounts for DVC members.

Guest Hands Out $800 Worth of Gifts to Children at Disney

When visiting a Disney Park, Guests look forward to experiencing the Magic that surrounds them. There is something beautiful and inspiring about getting to immerse yourself in so much joy and wonder. Some Cast Members go above and beyond for their Guests by making some Magical Moments happen while in the Park. Anything from some pixie dust to a special character interaction can count as a magical moment.

One Disney Guest was in the spirit of giving on a recent trip to Walt Disney World Resort. He decided to go above and beyond to make the Disney experience extra magical for some children.

Visiting Disney Parks is an incredibly expensive thing to do. Between accommodations, Park tickets, food, and merchandise, it’s easy to spend a large amount of money at a Disney Resort. For TikToker @Kurttocci, money seems to be no object.

Kurt is a TikToker who has amassed a massive 1.6 million followers for his content. He is known for making fun, upbeat videos. He describes his niche as “making people smile.” Kurt often films video content within the Disney Parks. In a video uploaded on March 20, 2023, Kurt showed himself making some magic over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort.

In the video, he heads over to Galaxy’s Edge to give “the force” to some youngsters visiting the Park. Kurt headed to a store and grabbed dozens of Star Wars lightsabers. The total of his buying spree was a staggering $809.20!

After making his big purchase, he went on to hand out the lightsabers to dozens of children. It was so cool seeing so many magical moments happening in the Park! Some of the Cast Members even supported him, and Wookie gave him some big grunts of approval.

After Hours at Disney Park Will Soon Be Unavailable

Another Disney After Hours event is about to come to an early end. For many families, visiting the Park during the day can feel overwhelming. Luckily for Guests at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney offers special “after hours” events. These events give Guests special access to the Parks after they are closed to the general public. Fans who love this ticketed event are shocked to know that only a few more tickets are being offered at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the rest of the season.

Disney After Hours is a staple for many Disney fans. This event allows Guests to see the Park after regular hours. It gives a whole new perspective on the land. The event also is incredibly time effective when it comes to getting on as many rides as possible. The smaller crowds make it so Guests can ride a lot of rides in less time. Special treats are also included in the price of admissions.

After Hours makes the Parks more accessible for many people who get overwhelmed by the massive crowds. They have become very popular, and tickets have been selling more. It is not uncommon to see the events sell out.

Earlier this week, that is what happened at Magic Kingdom Park. The Park ended up selling out for the entire season. This news was devastating to many fans.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

A seasonal sellout is likely happening for another Disney Park. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has sold out more nights of their After Hours event. After Hours events will be happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from now until June 28, 2023. So far, around half of those events have sold out.

If you want to attend one f these events, you should consider buying a ticket as soon as possible. Tickets are $149 each. There are also after-hours events at other Parks including Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and EPCOT still available.

New ‘Video Memories’ Feature Released for Disney PhotoPass at Walt Disney World

A new Disney Photopass feature called Video Memories allows guests to create Disney PhotoPass videos. Guests will use their own photos and video along with iconic Disney content to recreate magical experiences from their vacation.

A new feature has been released for Disney PhotoPass. According to the Walt Disney World official release, Video Memories will allow guests to “revisit the magical experiences” from their Disney vacation “by creating video memories.”

Guests who opt to purchase PhotoPass will be able to use their own photos and videos as well as content in their Disney PhotoPass gallery. They may combine this media with iconic imagery and video from the Disney Library. This also allows guests to add enhancements, including stickers, music, and text.

Templates are included to make the process simpler. By selecting a template from the provided collection, users can create a quick theme for their new video memory.

Next, users will choose between two options: either “Quick Video Memory,” where they will select photos and videos and add enhancements later, or “Advanced,” where guests will create an entire video memory themselves. This is done by selecting photos and videos and then adding stickers, music, and text manually.

Once completed, guests are able to view their creation. With the My Disney Experience app, guests who have Memory Maker or are Annual Passholders are eligible to download and share their video memories.

There is no limit to the number of video memories a guest may create.

The Disney PhotoPass Service can be found at Walt Disney World Resort, at various attractions and popular areas within the park. They are available to take unique and memorable photos of your vacation experience that cannot be found anywhere else. Shortly after taking your photos, the images will be available for viewing in your online gallery or through the My Disney Experience app.

Sometimes there is a line for these photo opportunities, and the Cast Members work hard to bring some of the Disney magic into your pictures.

In order to have full access to the images taken by park photographers, or photos snapped during a ride, guests need to either hold an Annual Pass or purchase Memory Maker.

With Memory Maker, guests can access all the Disney PhotoPass photos and videos from their vacation, including some special extras. Memory Maker offers unlimited downloads of photos and videos. It also allows guests to view and download media from up to 25 people on their Family & Friends list.

The price of Memory Maker, as of publication, is $169.00 if purchased in advance, $199.00 if purchased during a vacation, and $69.00 for single day access.
