Obi-Wan Disney+ Series Put On Hold

Rumors have been circulating in the last few days that the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series was in trouble. Some were saying that the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series even faced the potential of cancellation for the series altogether. It now seems that there was some truth to these rumors, as it is being reported that Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has put the series on hold, and that the crew that was filming at Pinewood Studios in London were all sent home.

Collider is saying that although the series is not cancelled, there are some problems going on behind the scenes. Kathleen Kennedy was not happy with the scripts that she read. More than likely, the stories will be reworked and the cast will reconvene sometime in the summer to film the series.

Official Trailer and Poster Released for Star Wars: The Clone Wars Final Season

Those who have been following “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” animated series since its early days on Cartoon Network will be thrilled to know that the official trailer and poster for the seventh and final season of the show have just been released.

Fans are brimming with excitement as the groundbreaking series finally comes to an emotional end.

Scenes showing Anakin and a very pregnant Padme hint at a possible overlap with Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, given that she is wearing her Mustafar outfit. (And we all know Padme was not one for repeating outfits.) There’s also an emotional scene where Ahsoka meets Bo-Katan, a brave Mandalorian leader.

You can check out the full trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7 in the video below. The season premieres on February 21, only on Disney+.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum Renewed For 2nd Season

We hope those with curious minds (and all you “Jurassic Park” fans) will be happy to learn that Disney+ has ordered ten more episodes of the documentary series “The World According to Jeff Goldblum.”

The series will return for a second season on the streaming service. Produced by Nutopia, “The World According to Jeff Goldblum” is the service’s first original series from National Geographic and will conclude its freshman season Friday, January 24.

“Jeff has captured the imagination and curiosity of our audience with his distinct perspective and illuminating adventures,” said Ricky Strauss, president, Content & Marketing, Disney+. “We can’t wait to see where Jeff and our partners at National Geographic take us in season two.”

After premiering on November 12, subscribers have followed host and executive producer Jeff Goldblum across the country as he unravels the fascinating truths behind familiar objects we all know and love. The first season explored a spectrum of topics from ice cream and sneakers to denim and RVs. In the ten-episode second season, Jeff will bring viewers on an entertaining and insightful ride around the world as he unearths a new batch of everyday objects.

Courteney Monroe, president, National Geographic Global Television Networks, shared the season pick-up as part of National Geographic’s Television Critics Association presentation.

“Jeff’s genuine curiosity in the world make him a natural fit for the National Geographic brand. There is something special and intangible about Jeff and his fascination with the world is infectious,” said Monroe. “We’re thrilled to be able to share his humor and sensibilities to a broader audience on Disney+.”

The series leads Disney+’s robust collection of National Geographic original and exclusive content including the Emmy and Academy Award-winning documentary “Free Solo,” the critically acclaimed film “Science Fair,” and the upcoming docuseries “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.”

“The World According to Jeff Goldblum” is produced by Nutopia. Serving as executive producers are Jane Root and Arif Nurmohamed for Nutopia, with Jeff Goldblum and Keith Addis.
