Masks No Longer Required Outside in Walt Disney World

Breaking News! Starting today, May 15th, 2021 there will be new face masks rules in Walt Disney World! Following more information from the CDC this week regarding vaccinated people not needing to wear masks, Disney has started to make adjustments to their safety procedures and this is the newest one that has surprised us all.

Disney’s website has posted this new chart that outlines the updated requirements when it comes to masks throughout the Walt Disney World Property. The biggest change is that masks are no longer required in outdoor common areas or pool decks.

Guests will still be required to wear a mask in areas such as transportation, attractions, and indoor locations per CDC suggestions and guidelines.

For full details on the requirements and expectations from Disney, visit their Know Before You Go for complete details and explainations.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Will Include “Signature Services” White Glove Concierge

Walt Disney World is currently casting internally for “signature services” Cast Members for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.

The position is casting out of the Disney Reservation Center. These “white glove service” Cast Members would help ensure guests have everything they need for the perfect vacation (which will be important give the cost to stay at this luxury experience). The service can help with anything from tickets and dining reservations, to recreation and more, perhaps offering what typical guests may not have access to booking.

Earlier this month, Disney began casting actors, stunt performers, and musicians for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. The hotel will offer a two-day, two-night immersive experience in which guests participate in their own “story” within the Star Wars universe and visit Batuu at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Wave Restaurant To Be Refurbished for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary

The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is scheduled for refurbishment this summer. While Disney has yet to release in depth details about the refurbishment, we do know they are working on the space “in time for the 50th anniversary”.

As shared by Disney: “The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be unavailable this summer as we refurbish this space in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. Reservations will be available through July 15.”

The Disney rumor mill and speculations are hard at work with this refurbishment. Much of the speculations suggest Disney could make this a character dining restaurant with characters from The Incredibles. While we would absolutely love that, there is no confirmation from Disney.

Chef Mickey’s is set to reopen for the dinner service on May 16th with “no touch” appearances like snapping a selfie or waving hello as Mickey Mouse and some of his favorite pals make surprising appearances in each of the dining rooms.
