After Hours at Disney Park Will Soon Be Unavailable

Another Disney After Hours event is about to come to an early end. For many families, visiting the Park during the day can feel overwhelming. Luckily for Guests at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney offers special “after hours” events. These events give Guests special access to the Parks after they are closed to the general public. Fans who love this ticketed event are shocked to know that only a few more tickets are being offered at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the rest of the season.

Disney After Hours is a staple for many Disney fans. This event allows Guests to see the Park after regular hours. It gives a whole new perspective on the land. The event also is incredibly time effective when it comes to getting on as many rides as possible. The smaller crowds make it so Guests can ride a lot of rides in less time. Special treats are also included in the price of admissions.

After Hours makes the Parks more accessible for many people who get overwhelmed by the massive crowds. They have become very popular, and tickets have been selling more. It is not uncommon to see the events sell out.

Earlier this week, that is what happened at Magic Kingdom Park. The Park ended up selling out for the entire season. This news was devastating to many fans.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

A seasonal sellout is likely happening for another Disney Park. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has sold out more nights of their After Hours event. After Hours events will be happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from now until June 28, 2023. So far, around half of those events have sold out.

If you want to attend one f these events, you should consider buying a ticket as soon as possible. Tickets are $149 each. There are also after-hours events at other Parks including Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and EPCOT still available.

Disney World Cast Members Win Following Stalled, Failed Negotiations

The union representing thousands of Disney World Cast Members announced a big win for full-time and part-time Cast Members at the Central Florida parks during a press conference on Thursday afternoon.

Just after 5:00 p.m. local time, during an “abruptly scheduled” press conference on Thursday afternoon at the Wyndham Orlando Resort and Conference Center, following negotiations that took place between unions and Disney World. The press conference opened with the announcement negotiations have been taking place for 210 days and that it’s been 535 days since Disney workers last received pay increases, but that a “huge development” had taken place during Thursday morning’s negotiations.

During rounds of failed negotiations, the top priorities among Disney workers have been to receive a minimum wage of $18 per hour and to be guaranteed full retroactive pay back to October 2022, when the previous contract expired. But so far, Disney has only offered a minimum wage of $17 per hour and only partial retroactive pay.

During negotiations on Thursday morning, however, Disney World and Cast Member unions finally came to an agreement–with Disney agreeing to the unions’ demands and agreeing to an $18 per hour minimum wage and full retroactive pay all the way back to the expiration of the previous contract.

The press conference was broadcast via Facebook Live, during which Cast Members commented on the social media platform. Though Disney has agreed to contract terms put forth by union leaders, some Cast Members were still unhappy with the outcome. Many, however, were thankful for the agreement and praised the work of union leaders and Cast Members in keeping a united front about what they demanded from the new contract.

Mickey’s Toontown reopened at Disneyland Park on Sunday, March 19, after a lengthy redesign to make the Disney Park land more accessible and entertaining to all Guests. The land boasts three immersive attractions: Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Chip ‘N’ Dale’s GADGETCoaster, and the newest addition, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, inside the el CapiTOON Theater. It’s centered around CenTOONial Park, a relaxing grassy area shaded by Walt Disney’s dreaming tree.

The reopened Disneyland Toontown also welcomes back beloved character meet-and-greets with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Goofy, and more. And for the first time, Pete the cat will interact with Guests!

During the reopening day, TikToker @salamandurr_ shared an adorable video of Pluto spinning on a playground toy to the delight of little ones around him while adults waited eagerly for exclusive popcorn buckets:

But unfortunately, the magical moment was quickly halted after the camera cut. After another Disneyland Park Guest commented on their excitement about the experience, the TikToker shared some sad news.

“Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll see it again,” the Guest wrote. “The manager came by and quickly told the handler to stop and get him up.”

Disney Parks fans weren’t happy. “I hope y’all boo’ed,” said @mr.serr.

“Well it made everyone’s day and that’s what counts at the end of the day!” @rockin_disney wrote.

“Party pooper,” joked @puppetcity69420.

Of course, Disney Cast Members never want to ruin the fun for no reason. Most likely, Pluto playing on the interactive equipment was a safety issue or threatened the integrity of his costume.

Disneyland Influencer Allegedly Cut Line, Got Upset With Guest For Saying “Hi”

Just days after we reported a confrontation between three vloggers at Disneyland Park, another Guest alleges a bad experience with a Disneyland Resort Influencer.

TikToker Randy James (@recylcingrandy) approached a mobile-order pickup window to get his parking validated after dining in the Downtown Disney District. After waiting a few minutes, he was speaking with a Disney Cast Member when an influencer cut in front of him and asked to pick up her mobile order:

“Some girl walks up and just inserts herself like, ‘Hey, I’m here for my mobile pickup,’” James recalled. “As if we were not, you know, talking to her and getting stuff done.”

Nevertheless, James kept a positive attitude and decided to compliment the influencer on her platform Converse. She thanked him flatly, and he realized she was filming the entire interaction.

“When she did, she panned up and got the Cast Member’s face in the shot. And I was like, okay, that’s a little weird,” James said. “I usually ask people permission to take video of them, or I end up cutting them out somehow, but I don’t know if that’s the same case for her… I thought that was a little weird and kind of rude and tacky.”

Later, James saw the influencer again. This time, she was panning her camera to film around the restaurant. James waved because he didn’t want to look “frumpy and gross” on camera.

“She said hi back. But then I noticed that she redid the video,  probably because I said hi in the video, and she did not want that,” James explained. “So I’m like, okay, okay. She’s one of those people.”

James ended with a reminder to be kind: “Just know that she was kind of rude and kind of inconsiderate of other people. So, yeah, try not to be like that, guys… If you are that person that filmed all that interaction and posted that video, just know that you could be nicer to people. Kindness goes a very long way, sweetheart.”

This isn’t the first negative interaction involving influencers at Downtown Disney. Last year, a Starbucks employee was fired after calling out an influencer for being rude to busy employees while waiting for a mobile order pickup.

Fans Attack Cheerleaders For Chanting In Disney World Line

Walt Disney World Resort is best known as a dream vacation destination for many American families. But did you know it also has an active sporting scene? The ESPN Wide World of Sports complex hosts numerous high school, college, and professional sporting events year-round!

Most famously, Walt Disney World hosts cheer competitions for high schoolers and college students. Some lucky cheerleaders even get to perform ahead of select showings of the Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom Park!

Many Guests and Disney Cast Members lament these competitions, which bring hundreds of unsupervised teenagers into the already-crowded Disney Parks. But they’ve also caused wider controversy. In 2022, The Port Neches-Groves Independent School District drill team came under fire for performing an insensitive routine about Native Americans at Magic Kingdom. Even though the Central Florida Disney Park forbade them from wearing culturally-insensitive headdresses, the “Indianettes” performed a chant that contained the phrase “Scalp ’Em,” which went viral on Twitter.

This week, a group of cheerleaders caused social media upset when they “battled” in line for a ride. An adult with the group, presumed to be their coach, shared a video of the cheer battle on TikTok:

In the video, the girls loudly chant at each other from different parts of the queue. Many Disney Parks fans were fed up after only listening for a few seconds and condemned the chaperones for allowing the cheerleaders to be so loud.

“I would’ve been so fed up,” read the most popular comment from @juliaaxbarros, with nearly 300 likes.

“I would’ve gotten out of line. Probably been there all d*mn day,” @nolagirllbria replied. “Head already hurting. I’m sure it’s hot and all that breath doesn’t help.”

“The way I would of said Shut up respectfully,” @m3l094 wrote.

“Embarrassing,” said @samuel696___.

But others defended the teens. “Yall a lil too grown to be hating n bitter about kids having fun…” @saint.nasty argued.
