Masquerade At The Edison @ Walt Disney World

When some people think of Walt Disney World, often they will assume that it is just for families with children. They incorrectly decide that there is nothing for the 21 and up crowd, especially since Downtown Disney’s Pleasure Island has been gone for years. While Walt Disney World is one of the top family vacation destinations in the country, there are still ways to enjoy “adult time”. One place to do that is The Edison at Disney Springs.

During the day and early in the evenings, The Edison is a family friendly restaurant. Later into the evening, it has more of a nightclub vibe. Sometimes, special events will be held in the evenings.

February 22nd marked the first annual Masquerade in which you had to be 21 years of age or older to attend.

The cost is $65. The price includes Blackened Shrimp Cocktail, Buffalo Chicken Springrolls, BBQ Shortrib, Oyster Shooters, Cucumber Canape, Scallops Wrapped in Bacon, Buffalo Meatballs, and Portobello Fries for hors d’oeuvres. The following cocktails are also included; Butterfly Effect, Cuban Carnival, The Masked Mule, Marg Me!, and Sip in Moderation.

There is also extra entertainment as part of Masquerade. There are stilt walkers, acrobats, musicians, and more. The Edison is known for its unusual entertainment, and this fit right into the theme of the night.

In order to attend Masquerade, guests were asked to wear a mask.

Masquerade started at 8:30pm, and ran until 2:00am.

Eats at The Epcot Experience Menu Now Available

Eats at the EPCOT Experience is an expansion of the existing snack stand at the preview center attraction, serving salads, flatbreads, and more. Seating was recently expanded throughout the former photo op area of the EPCOT Experience, so guests can pick up their eats and enjoy them in the comfort of the indoor pavilion.

Signage is now out throughout EPCOT and near The Odyssey, with menus posted for guests to preview before the counter service opens at 11:00 AM.

Among the options are cheese and pepperoni flatbreads, a turkey sandwich option, a chopped salad with chicken, and of course, the coveted chicken breast nuggets. Kids options are available for the flatbreads and nuggets. Chips and fries are available as sides, plus a number of desserts like a cookie crunch brownie, Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, and more. If these items sound familiar, it’s because they’re versions of popular items from the Electric Umbrella, which is scheduled to close soon for a massive remodeling.

Craft beers and soft drinks are also available.
