Disney’s Animal Kingdom Welcomes New Babies

Ready for a dose of cuteness? Well, we have baby animal news to share from Disney’s Animal Kingdom… and pretty much nothing is cuter than a baby animal! From tiny insects and chirping birds to zebras, nyala and steenbok on the savanna, Disney welcomes so many babies to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.

Disney Parks took to Twitter to share: “From tiny insects and chirping birds to zebras and steenbok, we are thrilled to welcome so many babies to the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge family. Full Park Pass Availability Replenished Once Again for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders Through August 28

Another day, another change in the Disney Park Pass Availability calendar. However, this seems to be another rare instance of good news, as Disney has quietly added availability at all four parks for Annual Passholders in August—yes, again.

To check for the most current and up-to-date Disney Park Pass availability, you can take a look at the calendar here. As a reminder, Annual Passholders are limited to three rolling Park Pass reservations at a time, in addition to any acquired via a Disney Resort hotel stay.

August – Disney Park Passes for Annual Passholders

We now see most of the month replenished with full availability for Annual Passholders starting tomorrow, August 22, through Friday, August 28. These dates include Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Once we get to the weekend, however, it’s fully booked up, and only EPCOT is available on August 31.

As a reminder, Magic Kingdom is now fully booked for Annual Passholders on Halloween, and Labor Day weekend is also fully booked across the board for Theme Park Ticket guests, guests with room reservations, and Annual Passholders.

Celebrate National Roller Coaster Day with Virtual Rides on 8 Disney Coasters!

Today is National Roller Coaster Day, so Disney is celebrating with a mashup video of Disney coasters from around the world. Plus, they have also shared links to 8 Disney coasters for as much virtual rides as you’d like.

When you click on the video below, it’s like you’re magically transported from one Disney park to the next and dropped right into a seat on your favorite coaster. Be sure to keep your arms inside the vehicle at all times and remove your hats and glasses, because you’ll experience high-speed launches, climb to the top of a mountain, brave a forbidden temple and much more. And along this high-speed journey, you may learn a thing or two about Disney coasters, too! If you can keep your eyes open, that is.

Select Walt Disney World Restaurants May Remain Open After Park Hours Are Reduced

While Disney has yet to make an official announcement, when looking at restaurant reservation availability on the Walt Disney World website after the park hours are reduced, guests can make reservations at select restaurants that are scheduled to remain open after the park closes.

Magic Kingdom’s park hours will be 9am to 6pm beginning September 8. Two restaurants including Be Our Guest Restaurant and Liberty Tree Tavern are open for dinner until 7pm, an hour after park closing. Reservations are available for the 6pm – 7pm hour. Table service restaurants showing closure at 6pm with the park include Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, The Plaza Restaurant, and Tony’s Town Square Restaurant.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ park hours will be 10am to 7pm beginning September 8. Three restaurants including 50’s Prime Time Cafe, Oga’s Cantina, and Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant are open for dinner until 8pm, an hour after park closing. Reservations are available for the 7pm – 8pm hour. Table service restaurants showing closure at 7pm with the park include The Hollywood Brown Derby and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano.

All table-service restaurants at EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are currently showing they are scheduled to close at park closure which is 7pm for EPCOT and 5pm for Disney’s Animal Kingdom beginning September 8.

‘Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’ Premieres Sept. 25 with Narrator, Josh Gad

We’re so excited about the upcoming Disney+ series Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We’ve learned that the brand-new series will debut and stream on Disney+ starting September 25 with Narrator, Josh Gad. Check out all the details below as shared by DisneyParksBlog.

“Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” from National Geographic, will provide an all-access pass to explore the magic of nature within Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT, and it’s the ultimate tribute to the magnificent array of more than 300 species and 5,000-plus animals cared for by our dedicated and highly skilled team at Walt Disney World Resort.

Filmed over the span of five months, the eight-part docu-series introduces viewers to some of our most intriguing animals and incorporates cutting-edge technology, such as custom-built GoPro enclosures, 18-foot cranes and underwater camera systems to highlight the magic found in every corner of the kingdom and the dedication and expertise of our amazing cast members who keep things running day and night. And who better to bring incredible storytelling warmth to these eye-catching visuals than the series award-winning narrator and fan-favorite Josh Gad (“Frozen,” Frozen II”).
