Disney World Announces Massive Ticket Price Decrease

Tickets at Walt Disney World Resort haven’t been this affordable in quite some time!

Walt Disney World Resort is home to many magical theme parks and attractions that bring in millions of Disney Park Guests. Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT may be home to some of the most magical attractions in the world, but they also cost a pretty penny to enter. Guests from ages 3 & up will need a ticket to get into a Disney World theme park, and this means that the average family has to dish out an insane amount of money to afford admission to the theme parks alone, with this not even counting travel, lodging, and food.

Even the most budget-conscious families still find themselves spending close to a fortune when heading to Walt Disney World Resort, and a family of four can easily spend over $3,000 for a few days at “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”

Disney CEO Bob Iger recently divulged that he believed the company was forcing Guests to spend too much money in the Parks. He said that he believes the theme parks should be accessible, and that’s certainly not what they’ve become over the last several years. However, if you’re willing to plan a trip to Disney World in the near future, we’ve got good news for you.

The updated Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom

You can actually take advantage of a Walt Disney World Resort ticket deal right now that will rival a ticket to Six Flags, Busch Gardens, or anywhere else around the country.

Disney announced today that it is offering a special summer deal for Guests, which will include a 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket for $99.00 per day ($396.00 plus tax) beginning May 23, 2023. No theme park reservations are needed for this deal, and you’ll be able to enter all four theme parks– Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios– on four separate days. While Park Hopping is not a part of the deal, this is as low of a ticket price as we’ve seen offered for Walt Disney World in quite some time. This ticket is valid for theme park admission from June 1 to September 29, 2023—subject to blockout dates from July 1 to July 4, and September 1 to September 4, 2023. The ticket expires within seven days of first use or on September 29, 2023, whichever occurs first. Tickets are not valid for admission on blockout dates.

Disney DELAYS Start Time for ‘Happily Ever After’

After a long day of enjoying the magic of the Disney Parks, many Guests choose to spend their evening watching one of the phenomenal nighttime spectaculars that Disney offers Guests. Walt Disney World truly goes above and beyond to bring Guests incredible entertainment all day long, but for many Guests, the nighttime spectaculars cannot be beaten.

Walt Disney World Resort is currently showing five nighttime spectaculars: EPCOT Forever, Fantasmic!, Wonderful World of Animation, the Electrical Water Pageant, and Happily Ever After. Of all these shows, Happily Ever After, the fireworks show at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom is the most popular choice amongst fans. That is why it is essential that Guests hoping to see Happily Ever After are aware that Disney has altered the show’s start time.

‘Happily Ever After’ Will Happen a Little After…

Fans were overjoyed when the Walt Disney Company announced the return of the fan-favorite firework show “Happily Ever After” would be returning to Magic Kingdom Park. This 18-minute extravaganza is one of the most beloved shows ever made by Disney, and fans from all over the world are eager to return to the Parks and see it perform once more. Fans are especially excited about the all-new projections down Main Street, U.S.A.

When You Can See ‘Happily Ever After’

While the show will still be performed every night, it is essential to know that the starting time for the show has been pushed from 9:00 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. This pushback is due to the sun setting later in the day. Happily Ever After requires a fully dark night sky. The show will likely return back to its 9:00 p.m. start time once summer is over.

This news is important so that Guests don’t feel like they are wasting time waiting for the fireworks show to begin at Cinderella Castle.

World of Frozen Opening at Hong Kong Disneyland in November 2023

Disney has announced an opening timeline for World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland. The new land will open in November 2023.

The land will have its own version of Frozen Ever After, plus two new attractions: Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs and Playhouse in the Woods. The former is a roller coaster through the mountains. Arendelle: World of Frozen will also have several shops and restaurants. Concept art, Cast Member costumes, and ride vehicle maquettes for the land were displayed at D23 Expo last year.

State Takeover of Disney World Ride Inspections No Longer Valid

Via InsideTheMagic.net

In the DeSantis and Disney ongoing war, Disney had a big realization. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis lied about state-mandated Disney ride inspections. In his comments on April 17, he claimed Disney would have to bow to the state regarding these inspections, even though Disney has an impressive inspection rate.

As of May 13, those supposed “state-mandated” inspections are no longer valid, seeing how they never took place through the Bill DeSantis signed. Disney also ensured to mention the state-mandated assessments in their documents that they hope will be able to be presented to a court of law.

The War Between Disney and Desantis

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis just signed a new bill, SB 1604, that would kill the deal between The Walt Disney Company and its governing district, Reedy Creek, thus creating a whole new world of hurt for WDW.

DeSantis even went as far as to say Disney was “arrogant” in their pursuit of justice. But Disney fought back through a lawsuit with DeSantis on the run with their administration.

DeSantis filed a counter lawsuit a few days ago against Disney, bringing more hatred and remorse for the Florida Governor.

But now, DeSantis has been called out by news media outlets in Florida for not only allegedly lying about his proposed state-mandated ride inspections for WDW but for singling out Disney and not the other theme Parks in the state.

DeSantis and His Disney Ride Inspections – All Lies?

Tourism and theme Parks reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, Katie Rice, published a news story on the ongoing war between DeSantis and Disney, bringing attention to the alleged lies by the Florida Governor regarding his intentions to force state-mandated inspections on Walt Disney World rides.

In her article, Rice mentions how State officials “will not take over Space Mountain or other Disney World ride inspections soon,” even though DeSantis had made it clear on April 17 that he would.

Disney World already has its system regarding attraction inspections, which makes them one of the safest, if not the safest, theme parks in America.

Here’s the tweet for reference. A big shout out to industry insider and digital at Nextstar Scott Gustin on Twitter for bringing this information to the public.

The article is also attached to the tweet, and Katie Rice is mentioned. Regarding DeSantis’s comments from April 17, here is a follow-up tweet Scott Gustin also put out for reference:

There are no other official comments from DeSantis or his administration regarding these alleged lies about state-mandated Disney World ride inspections.

Disney Character Goes Viral After Chaotic Interaction

There’s no doubt that Disney characters are a big part of the magic of the Disney Parks. Guests are able to see some of their favorite characters come to life and have some amazing interactions with them.

However, every interaction is different, especially depending on the character. Some can be more graceful and refined, like meeting the princesses, some can be more magical, like Mickey and Minnie, and some can downright chaotic, like Goofy, Donald, or Wendell.

Wendell is one of the bears from the Country Bear Jamboree at Walt Disney World, best known for singing “Mama Don’t Whoop Little Buford” and playing the banjo. He’s one of the few bears that also meet and greet Guests, along with Liver Lips, Shaker, and Big Al. Guests can see the bears out and about in Frontierland near Country Bear Hall, typically on top of the building, but they also come down and can be seen dancing with Guests during the Frontierland Hoedown.

A recent Magic Kingdom Guest, @Ryan_FTLOTP, captured a hilarious video of Wendell really getting into the music from the “Festival of Fantasy” parade. In a second video, Ryan shows another clip where Wendell is jumping around and starts fist pumping, with a Guest in the background moving right along with him.

The comments are full of people cracking up over the videos, “there’s a reason he’s my favorite and this is it,” says @magicallifewem. “Wendell has brought me so much joy these past couple days. He GETS me,” chimes in @JellyKa625. “Wendell bouta open up that pit,” jokes @twisted_tater.

It’s always a treat to see characters that are able to be a little more chaotic, to see them enjoying or expressing themselves in a way that characters like the princesses might not be able to. And for characters like Wendell, it’s not even technically out of character, making it all the funnier for those experiencing the moment.
