Over the past few years, several types of Disney merchandise have gained a cult-like following — things like spirit jerseys and Loungefly backpacks. Maybe one of the more surprising pieces of popular merchandise is Disney popcorn buckets. From Mickey Mummy popcorn buckets to ones that look like the famous Mickey balloons to ones exclusively for Annual Passholders, Disney is designing popcorn buckets to cover nearly every Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars fandom. They even created a Figment popcorn bucket for last year’s International Festival of the Arts — and people waited in 5 hours lines to get their hands on it!
Now, the Christmas season at Disney Parks is less than a week away, and Disney Imagineers and Cast Members are hard at work turning the Parks into magical wintry worlds. Every year, as part of the holiday celebration, Disney releases specialty popcorn buckets. Sometimes it’s a Christmas tree or jingle bells in the shape of a Mickey head. But this year, Disney is going all out and treating a truly unique popcorn bucket.
This year, Disney will be creating a musical popcorn bucket! Complete with images that move around the bucket! Disney Parks and Disney Eats shared a video of the gorgeous bucket on Instagram.
This new Christmas popcorn bucket will be released at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort beginning December 11. In the past, popcorn buckets have sold out in just a couple of days. So, if you plan to be in the Parks on November 11, we recommend getting in line as soon as possible if you want to make this popcorn bucket a part of your collection.
At this time, the popcorn buckets will only be available at select popcorn carts throughout Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Disney has not said if they will be available for mobile order at certain locations.
News is spreading quickly of a Florida High School Marching Band being rejected by Walt Disney World Resort due to its mascot. The band’s performance may be banned from the Disney Park… but that’s not stopping the students from visiting as Park Guests.
Venice High School Marching Band was scheduled for a Disney performance at Magic Kingdom Park on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Disney often offers the opportunity to high school marching bands to perform the parade route through Frontierland, Liberty Square, the Cinderella Castle hub, and ending just after a march through Main Street, U.S.A.
As we previously shared, the “Venice High School Marching Indians” were asked by Disney to cover the Native American school logo on their band uniforms to be allowed to participate in the marching performance.
Venice High School refused to cover the mascot, resulting in Disney rejecting their performance.
The Disney fandom may remember back to earlier this year (March 2022), when a high school marching band and its color guard performed what some deemed as “racism” with an Indian music and dance chant down Main Street, U.S.A., as shown in the video below:
Fast forward to November 2022, and we suspect Walt Disney World Resort is attempting to prevent a similar backlash that took place in March. But, instead, the news is fast spreading, with many believing that asking a marching band to cover its Native American mascot is wrong.
While Venice High School Marching Indians are not able to perform on November 12, 2022, they will still be visiting Magic Kingdom Park.
Furthermore, the band’s Facebook page announced “Show Shirts” are required to be worn by students in the Park, which will likely have the high school’s Native American mascot image displayed.
On Wednesday, November 9, Subtropical Storm Nicole is expected to hit Florida, with near hurricane-strength winds. While the term “subtropical” may not sound as bad as tropical, a subtropical storm can be just as dangerous — with the term meaning that the strongest winds are not located close to the center of the storm and the storm has less symmetry. Currently, Subtropical Storm Nicole is making her way through the Caribbean and the state of Florida is under a Hurricane watch.
Nicole sitting in the Caribbean is causing some major problems for the Disney Cruise Line. All the ships in Disney’s fleet — the Disney Magic, the Disney Dream, the Disney Wonder, the Disney Fantasy, and its newest ship, the Disney Wish — sail through the Caribbean and stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Unfortunately, some sailings have to be altered and Guests will no longer be able to spend time on the gorgeous Castaway Cay beaches.
Guests aboard the Disney Dream were set to leave port on Monday, November 7, and head through the tropics for a 5-night voyage. However, when Guests boarded the ship, they were given the following notice.
Dear Disney Dream Guest,
We are glad that you have joined us aboard the Disney Dream.
As you may be aware, Subtropical Storm Nicole is currently located in the Eastern Caribbean and is forecasted to move through the Bahamas later this week. We have been closely monitoring the storm system to ensure our Guests enjoy safe and comfortable cruises.
While we plan to sail from PortMiami today as scheduled, it is necessary to make some changes to your sailing to make certain out ships steer clear of the storm. Below is the revised itinerary of your sailing.
Monday – Miami, Florida
Tuesday – Day at Sea (previously Castaway Cay)
Wednesday – Day at Sea
Thursday – Cozumel, Mexico
Friday – Day at Sea
Saturday – Miami, Florida
Any pre-reserved Port Adventures in Castaway Cay will be automatically removed from your stateroom account. If you are interested in reserving additional experiences ashore in Cozumel, you may do so once on-board the ship through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
We appreciate your understanding regarding this necessary itinerary change and look forward to providing you with an enjoyable sailing.

It’s hard to believe just how long it has been since we last saw Mando and Grogu. Season 2 was released in 2020 and left viewers on the edge of their seats. We couldn’t wait to find out what happened next for the bounty hunter and his pint-sized companion. Sadly, with the onslaught of COVID-19, we had to wait much longer than expected due to filming delays.
When last we saw Grogu and his faithful guardian, they were (as usual) in a bit of a tight spot, but fans cheered at the arrival of a beloved character who would swoop in to save the day…we hope…it all ended with a major cliffhanger. The duo has been making their way across the galaxy to save the tiny “baby Yoda” from the clutches of the evil Empire who want to exploit the child for his force-sensitive talents. Mando has sworn that will never happen and continuously gets the pair in and out of hot water in his attempts to evade the galactic overlords.
Each episode provides enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat and enough cute baby Yoda goodness to fill up your “awww” meter. With excellent storytelling and the incredible special effects we’ve come to expect from Star Wars, it is easy to see why The Mandalorian has such a loyal fan base.
The show, which has been billed as a “space western,” has become a fan favorite since its release in 2019. We are so excited that the next installment is coming soon! Many reliable sources have confirmed that the show will return for its third installment of the hit show will return on February 22, 2023! That is almost a 3-year hiatus since the season 2 conclusion.
If you can’t get enough of Mando and Grogu (which who could blame you?), you don’t have to wait til the show premiers to get your fix. Over at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, you can meet the pair in person at the all new meet and greet coming this month!
