TikToker Publicly Apologizes For Being Rude to a Cast Member

Via DisDining.com

We live in an age where social media is the way many people communicate nowadays. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok are massive platforms where people can share their love of things with people around the world. One of the fastest growing platforms is people sharing their love for all things Disney. Some people focus on Disneyland, some on Walt Disney World Resort, others on Disney Cruise Line, and some focus on all of it.

While we love seeing people share fun things about their Disney trips, as well as tips and tricks you can use while visiting, it is no secret that TikTokers, and those who want to be social media influencers, are making the jobs of Disney Cast Members incredibly difficult. People are constantly breaking rules in order to make a video and get attention.

Now, one very prominent TikToker is going viral for all the wrong reasons, but it’s not because of what she did while in the Parks — although it started there.

You may or may not know about the TikToker, Theme Park Mom. She is constantly in the Parks, sharing the experiences that she has, and she has amassed quite the following. However, one of her recent videos has put her on the receiving end of a lot of Disney fans’ anger.

In one video, she tells the story of people who were rude to a Cast Member while she was in line to meet Donald Duck. Theme Park Mom tells Guests to be nice to Cast Members, as they are just doing their job.

Not long after that video was posted, a woman claiming to work at a Starbucks location in Disney called Theme Park Mom out for being rude. The Cast Member said that Theme Park Mom placed a coffee order during a very busy time. According to the Cast Member, the woman was very impatient and wanted her drink, while others who got their first were still waiting. The Cast Member called out Theme Park Mom’s rude behavior and said that she should practice what she preaches and be nice to Cast Members.

Starbucks Disney

Theme Park Mom issued an apology video and seemed to be sorry for her behavior — the video has since been deleted. However, we are now learning that instead of being sorry for how she acted, Theme Park Mom apologized publicly but, behind the scenes, got the Cast Member who called her out fired.

The Cast Member deleted her original video, though some people were able to screenshot the comments where the Cast Member said that the woman had reported her and that the Cast Member was afraid she would lose her job. And that is exactly what happened.

Theme Park Mom is now being called out by fellow influencers and Disney fans alike for her appalling actions. Things seemed to have gotten so bad for Theme Park Mom that she now no longer allows people to comment on her videos — although she still frequently posts.

If and when you visit a Disney Park, please remember that Cast Members work very hard to keep the magic alive and create great memories for Guests. Their number one priority is Guests and their safety. While Cast Members frequently have to deal with Guests’ problems, you can always brighten their day by being kind when you interact with them.

New Upscale Mexican Restaurant Coming Disney World

A new fine-dining Mexican restaurant is coming to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in 2023.

Rosa Mexicano Restaurants announced plans to open its first Orlando-area location in the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in early 2023. With current locations in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Maryland, as well as upcoming openings in Connecticut, Virginia, North Carolina and Las Vegas, the dynamic brand will offer an elevated fiesta dining experience, including signature menu items and award-winning margaritas.

“Rosa Mexicano’s arrival to Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is a truly exciting moment of our expansion. The opening reflects our founding chef Josefina Howard’s vision of introducing Mexican culinary traditions and authentic Mexican heritage to the world,” said Jim Dunn, CEO of Rosa Mexicano. “Once the restaurant opens, we will offer the Orlando market a fresh take on Mexican food, authentic Mexican heritage, culinary techniques and lively dining.”

The restaurant, helmed by Manuel Trevino, Vice President of Culinary, will feature dramatic design elements familiar to fans of the brand, to transport guests on a unique culinary journey. The 5,500-square-foot restaurant will offer various seating areas with capacity of about 300 guests, including a 30-person bar and a beautiful private dining room for 50.

The menu will showcase a contemporary interpretation of authentic Mexican cuisine, including beloved classics and innovative, sophisticated dishes that pay tribute to Mexico’s richly varied culinary regions. Rosa Mexicano’s renowned beverage program, which boasts over 100 varieties of tequila and agave-based spirits – and of course, the restaurant’s signature frozen pomegranate margarita, named the best in New York City – will also make its debut.

About Rosa Mexicano

Headquartered in New York, Rosa Mexicano set a new standard for Mexican fine dining when it first opened its doors on the Upper East Side in 1984. Chef founder Josefina Howard played a leading role in defining what was then a revolutionary ‘new’ cuisine for American diners. Rosa Mexicano continues to deliver authentic, regionally inspired Mexican cuisine in a stylish, “elevated fiesta” atmosphere. For generations, the signature guacamole and frozen pomegranate margarita have been regarded as best-in-class. Today, the company operates restaurants across the northeast, including New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Massachusetts. Rosa Mexicano is owned by TriSpan Rising Stars, LLP who acquired the brand in March 2018. For more information, please visit www.rosamexicano.com.

Disney to Use Theme Parks and Disney+ Tracking Data to “Customize” Guest Experience

When you take a Walt Disney World vacation, you know that it will be pretty easy for Disney to know what you are up to. They know where you are staying, what Parks you are visiting on what days, and even what attractions you are riding — between Disney Genie+, PhotoPass, and the Disney MagicBand. Disney also keeps track of your watching habits when you use its streaming platform, Disney+.

However, what if you were told that Disney plans on actively tracking you, then combining the data that they have from you — from your time in the Parks and your Disney streaming habits — to customize both your Disney vacation and Disney+?

Well, according to a recently leaked investor call, that is exactly what Disney is planning on doing. Disney CEO Bob Chapek was on a call with Disney shareholders and said:

If we can have a universal Guest experience, recognize that a person who spent seven days in the Park, 24 hours a day, and we know all that information about them, is the exact same person who watches XYZ on Disney+. We can identify that person as the same one and they give us the ability to use the data that way, we can now customize and personalize an experience way beyond anything we’ve ever been able to do before, bringing now the two pieces of the Walt Disney Company into one for one common Guest experience that will give us a competitive advantage. Because who else has got the physical, deep physical data that you get on somebody if they spend 7 days and they essentially live with you for a week? And then how does that affect what they see on Disney+?

So, Disney+ will be conscious of what you do in a Park and will then feed you information, not on people that look like you in terms of viewing habits, people that watch this watch that, therefore, we’ll feed you this — we’ll do it specifically on what you did during your seven days and visca versa. What you watch on Disney+ will have an impact on your Guest experience at the Parks.

And I think that’s going to put us in a tremendous position of competitive advantage.

You can listen to the actual audio clip below, which was shared on Twitter by theme park insider, Scott Gustin:

Even though Disney is capable of tracking your movements in the theme parks and your watching habits on Disney+, the company has not said how they will combine the two to customize the Guest experience.
