Disney is once again celebrating World Princess Week from August 21-August 27! Part of the celebrations include limited-time food and beverage items at Disney Parks.

From a Disney Cast Member;

Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort in honor of World Princess Week. From August 21 through 27, this celebration will highlight some of your favorite characters and feature some tasty treats to enjoy along the way.

There are plenty of treats on both coasts, including the lovely Snow White 85th Anniversary Petit Cake, yes 85th, from Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs and the Tangled Loaf Cake over at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. Disney Cast Member Reportedly Diagnosed With Monkeypox

Over the past couple of years, the world has learned how to live with and fight COVID-19. It seems that no sooner did we learn how to get COVID under control than a new disease made its way into the headlines — Monkeypox. Monkeypox is a virus — similar to smallpox — that is commonly spread by skin-to-skin contact with someone who has the disease. As of right now, the United States has more than 15,000 reported cases of Monkeypox, the most anywhere in the world. Earlier in August, the Biden administration declared Monkeypox a public health emergency.

Unfortunately, it looks like Monkeypox has made its way to The Happiest Place on Earth. According to Twitter user @silly_cinder, a Disneyland Resort Cast Member was recently diagnosed with the disease.

Silly_cinder said the Cast Member worked in Disney California Adventure Park as part of the entertainment. They shared that the Cast Member in question shared their diagnosis on a private Cast Member Facebook page. At this time, only one Cast Member has been diagnosed with Monkeypox, and that Cast Member is in quarantine, so they do not risk accidentally infecting anyone else.

Monkeypox is quickly spreading throughout the country and the world. Here is more information from the CDC about the signs and symptoms of Monkeypox:

People with monkeypox get a rash that may be located on or near the genitals (penis, testicles, labia, and vagina) or anus (butthole) and could be on other areas like the hands, feet, chest, face, or mouth.

  • The rash will go through several stages, including scabs, before healing.
  • The rash can initially look like pimples or blisters and may be painful or itchy.

Other symptoms of monkeypox can include:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Swollen lymph nodes
  • Exhaustion
  • Muscle aches and backache
  • Headache
  • Respiratory symptoms (e.g. sore throat, nasal congestion, or cough)

You may experience all or only a few symptoms

  • Sometimes, people have flu-like symptoms before the rash.
  • Some people get a rash first, followed by other symptoms.
  • Others only experience a rash.

While Monkeypox can be spread from person to person, it is highly unlikely that you would catch it while visiting a place like Disneyland Resort. Merely touching a railing or standing in line with someone who is infected is unlikely to spread the disease. Monkeypox is most commonly spread through direct contact, respiratory secretions, and touching infected surfaces like bedding and towels.

Johnny Depp may be adding yet another project to his post-defamation trial contract line-up, and if it’s what we think it is, his expertise in acting, his gift for playing a wide range of characters, and his very being make him perfect for the role.

Since his win against ex-wife Amber Heard in his defamation suit against her, actor Johnny Depp has been perhaps busier than ever. He recently renewed a multi-million dollar contract with Christian Dior to continue being the face of the brand’s best-selling men’s fragrance, Sauvage, and he is slated to direct a new film alongside his friend and fellow actor, Al Pacino.

Now there are rumors that he may play a role in a new Netflix offering by veteran director Tim Burton titled, Wednesday. The project is based on the decades-old television series, The Addams Family.

Burton is known for his unique, eccentric, and sometimes dark film projects, such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, and more. Burton got his start at the California Institute for the Arts, known as CalArts, along with some of PIXAR’s best-known directors and animators, such as Brad Bird, John Lasseter, and Pete Docter.

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have a long-standing relationship, as Depp has starred in many of Tim Burton’s most successful films.

Now, according to YourTango, Depp’s fans say they’ve seen clues that the beloved actor will play the role of Uncle Fester in Tim Burton’s Wednesday:

“Rumor has it Johnny Depp will be playing Uncle Fester in “Wednesday” — Tim Burton’s “Addams Family” spinoff that is set to hit Netflix this fall. Depp’s involvement in the series has yet to be confirmed, but, given that the show’s creators have gone to great lengths to keep the casting for the role a secret, there are plenty of clues to suggest the actor will take on the role.

Uncle Fester, who was played by Jackie Coogan in the original series, was notably absent from the Netflix show’s trailer, which the show’s creator, Alfred Gough, says was intentional. Gough, who conceptualized the show with fellow “Smallville” creator Miles Millar before recruiting Tim Burton to executive produce — and add his gothic touch — said, “We have no comment on Uncle Fester. Watch the show.”

Instagram gossip account, DeuxMo, shared an anonymous tip or “blind item” that featured many clues pointing to Depp: “Extraordinary lengths taken to protect the identity of Uncle Fester on the latest Netflix offering.”

Burton’s newest project is slated to be released on the Netflix streaming platform in the fall of 2022 and will star Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams.

Disney Guest Gets Roasted By Characters

Every Guest dreams of pulling the sword from the stone in Fantasyland at Walt Disney World. The Sword in the Stone monument is located near Prince Charming’s Regal Carousel at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. There is also another Sword in the Stone monument located in Disneyland Park, near King Arthur’s Carousel.

TikToker jojocrichton has been visiting Magic Kingdom nearly every day in an attempt to become the King of Fantasyland. He has become an internet sensation as Guests from all over know who he is now — even Disney Characters!

Disney fan and TikTok user, jojocrichton, has been posting videos to social media showing his attempts at trying to become the King of Fantasyland. In one attempt, he even tried talking nice to the sword, hoping a little flattery would help (spoiler alert, it didn’t):

JoJo has really made a name for himself, as now even Disney Characters know who he is. Recently, JoJo was roasted by the step sisters, Anastasia and Drizella, from Disney’s Cinderella (1950).

In a video posted to TikTok, JoJo can be seen dressed as Merlin to, once again, try and pull the sword from the stone. He was walking around the Park when he ran into Anastasia and Drizella. “Do you have magic?” one of the sisters asked to which JoJo replied “I do, and I know you’re looking for a suitor.”

Well, Drizella did not hold back when she responded, “Well, we’re kind of looking for someone who can actually pull the sword from the stone,” completely roasting JoJo!

Disney Character Falls Off Vehicle During Performance

A video has emerged showing a Disney character crashing during a popular performance.

Disney Parks worldwide offer Guests the chance to meet their favorite Disney characters, whether that be a classic Disney character, an intergalactic icon from the Star Wars universe, or a mighty hero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse,  Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip, and Dale, your favorite Disney princess, Winnie the Pooh, Captain Jack Sparrow, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and many more can create an emotional and memorable moment for the young and the young at heart.

During a recent performance, user @truly.disney shared a video of Goofy crashing on TikTok.

As you can see in the video, Goofy is riding on a jet ski when he hits a wave that knocks him off the vehicle and into the water. While the video labels this at Disney World, this actually took place at Tokyo DisneySea at Tokyo Disneyland Resort.

While the crash looked like it may have hurt, everything seemingly turned out okay at the Disney Park and Goofy was able to get back on his jet ski.
