While Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire are Peter Parker throughout the MCU, a new Spider-Man is joining the Marvel collection.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year is hitting Disney+ in 2024:

Marvel Studios has blown away every Marvel fan with the first look at the upcoming Spider-Man series, an animated look into the first year that then MCU’s Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man:

Freshman Year has been renewed for a second season:

On top of all that, Freshman Year is featuring the most impressive lineup of Marvel villains to date:

It’s beyond insane that Marvel Studios is going ahead to announce one of the most landmark animated series to date, primarily based on the absurd amount of characters that are becoming canon.

Given that this new series is animated, Tom Holland will most likely not be returning due to the fact of the actor’s busy schedule and Hudson Thames taking over the role of Spidey in What If…?

Disney’s Reputation Is Plummeting Fast, According to New Survey

Via InsideTheMagic.net

The Walt Disney Company is taking a major hit in terms of its reputation, according to the latest survey.

Beginning Oct. 1, 2021, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will host “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” honoring the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Mickey and Minnie will be joined by their best pals Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale all dressed in sparkling new looks, custom-made for the 18-month event, highlighted by embroidered impressions of Cinderella Castle on multi-toned, EARidescent fabric punctuated with pops of gold. Disney has been no stranger to controversy over the last several months as the company has found itself involved in several disputes and controversies with government entities and fans alike.

After being lambasted for remaining quiet, Disney took a hard stance against Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill, which has been tabbed as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by its opponents. Shortly after, Disney saw Florida Governor Ron DeSantis threaten to take away its self-governance, including the Reedy Creek Improvement District, and lawmakers discussed the possibility of taking away the “no fly zones” that currently are in place at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

Disney also took a hit from many fans over its involvement of a same-sex kiss in the Pixar movie Lightyear and not including Tim Allen, the original voice of Buzz Lightyear, in the film. The movie bombed at the box office, being surpassed by many other films, including Universal’s Minions: The Rise of Gru.

If this all weren’t enough, Disney has also taken hits from fans in the way it has handled the Disney Parks over the last year. Many Disney Park Guests have been frustrated with Disney’s new Genie+ system and there have been many reports from fans that the Parks simply “aren’t the same anymore” and that the “magic is gone.” Many have also complained about constant price increases and, specifically, the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, which opened by charging more than $5,000 for its experience.

The Axios Harris Poll takes the 100 “most visible companies” and gets thousands of Americans across the nation to rank those companies based on many different metrics. Just last year, Disney was ranked No. 37 on the list, but the company has now dropped a significant 28 spots to No. 65 overall.

Disney scored a 73.4 overall, which has now seen its score categorized from “excellent” to “very good.” Disney ranks 80th on the list in trust, 72nd in trust, 71st in culture, 52nd in growth, 44th in products/services, 62nd in citizenship, and 58th in vision.

Here’s more about the Axios Harris Poll 100:

The Axios Harris Poll 100 is based on a survey of 33,096 Americans in a nationally representative sample. The two-step process starts fresh each year by surveying the public’s top-of-mind awareness of companies that either excel or falter in society. These 100 “most visible companies” are then rated by a second group of Americans across the seven key dimensions of reputation to determine the ranking. If a company is not on the list, it did not reach a critical level of visibility to be measured.

Jessie’s Trading Post Now Open in Toy Story Land!

Back in January, Disney shared that the new Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios would be getting a much-needed retail and dining expansion in the near future. Guests would be able to shop at Jessie’s Trading Post and dine at Roundup Rodeo BBQ. The news was exciting as there was not too much shopping in the land and the only place to eat was Woody’s Lunch Box. Disney never said when Jessie’s Trading Post or Roundup Rodeo BBQ would be opening, but did say that it would be sometime in 2022.

Well, you can imagine Guest’s shock and excitement when Disney opened Jessie’s Trading Post on Friday, July 22! No official announcement was made, but there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony before Guests were officially let in.

Disney Parks Blog first shared more information on Jessie’s Trading Post:

Hee-haw, attention all honorary toys! After enjoying a rollicking ride through Toy Story Mania!, you will soon be treated to a new experience that is filled to the brim with fun. Andy discovered Jessie’s Trading Post playset tucked away in the attic, and is bringing it downstairs to set up shop—full of the coolest toys and finest souvenirs handpicked by the rootinest, tootinest cowgirl.

It’s so exciting to see the new Toy Story Land area open and Guests enjoying their time there. Here is more info on everything else making its way to Toy Story Land, which will only make you want to spend even more time there!

Also coming in 2022 to Andy’s backyard is the previously announced Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant! In this unique, fun, family-friendly dining experience, guests will enjoy delicious barbecue fare while surrounded by a kaleidoscope of toys, games, and playsets that Andy has brought together to create his one-of-a-kind rodeo.

Stepping into the lobby and waiting area, guests experience first-hand what it feels like to be one of Andy’s honorary toys, before progressing into two larger dining room spaces where Andy’s rodeo takes place. Here, the rodeo will be in full swing, with western town and train station playsets mixing with surprising, playful details, like some fan-favorite Pixar characters as they’ve never been seen before!

At this time, we don’t know when Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be opening, but, if Jessie’s Trading Post is any example, we may not know until it actually opens! Disney Dining will keep readers updated if and when we have an opening date.

The ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’ Teaser Trailer Is Here!

On Friday, July 22, Disney held one of its 18 panels at Comic-Con, currently taking place in San Diego, California. During that panel, Disney shared a ton of new information on one of its newest series, National Treasure: Edge of History. The series will star Lisette Olivera as Jess — a DREAMer who sets out on a historical adventure to discover her hidden family secrets. Justin Bartha will return to his role as Riley Poole — a genius computer expert — and Harvey Keitel will return as Peter Sandusky — a kind but serious FBI agent.

We don’t know when the series is set to come to Disney+, but Disney has finally shared a teaser trailer of just what we can expect from the exciting continuation of the franchise. The teaser was first shared at Comic-Con, but now Disney has posted it on its official social media accounts, and you can check it out below!

You can also learn more about the series by watching the exclusive featurette below.

Here is more information on National Treasure: Edge of History

The Disney+ Original series, “National Treasure” Edge of History” is an expansion of the “National Treasure” movie franchise told from the point of view of a young heroine, Jess (Lisette Olivera), a brilliant and resourceful DREAMer in search of answers about her family — who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about the past and save a lost Pan-American treasure.

Again, Disney has not announced a release date for the new show, but we do know that it is being executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, alongside  Cormac and Marianne Wibberley, who wrote the scripts for both National Treasure and National Treasure: Book Of Secrets. Jon Turteltaub, who directed the original films, also executive produced and Mira Nair directed. Catherine-Zeta Jones will also have a recurring role as treasure hunter, Billie.

Jungle Cruise Water Turned Bright Pink

When riding Disney’s world-famous Jungle Cruise in Adventureland, you see a lot of things. You see Indian and African elephants, you see exotic plant life, you meet the Nile crocodile Ginger (be careful, she snaps), and you see Trader Sam’s Lost and Found. One thing you don’t expect to see on your boat ride is pink water. However, that’s exactly what Guests riding the attraction at Disneyland Resort saw. They were shocked and intrigued, and now we are finally learning what happened that caused the water to turn the strange shade.

On July 18, the Twitter account Fresh Baked! (@FreshBakedDisney) shared a picture of the shockingly pink water.

Twitter users were intrigued by what possibly could have caused it. Some said maybe it was a fluid leak from one of the boats. Another person took a funnier approach and said that it was someone who didn’t listen to their Skipper. However, we now have an official answer to exactly what happened to make the water look like someone help a special gender reveal.

The Orange County Register spoke to Disneyland officials, who said that it was routine water maintenance. Per The OCR

Select locations at Disneyland underwent water treatment on Monday, July 18 that resulted in the water turning a purple/pink tint, according to Disneyland officials.

No Disneyland guests rode on the Jungle Cruise attraction during the temporary water treatment process, according to Disneyland officials.

The Jungle Cruise was closed for a short period of time on Monday as part of a standard water treatment process used to treat bodies of water throughout the Disneyland resort. The pink waters dissipated within a few hours and the attraction returned to normal operation later in the day.

Sean Patrick, a computer programmer from Pismo Beach, speculated on Twitter that the pink stuff in the Jungle Cruise river could be potassium permanganate, a chemical used to treat wastewater, combat rust buildup and remove rotten egg smells from the water.

Because the Jungle Cruise — like every Disneyland attraction — gets so much use, routine maintenance must take place. Sometimes, Disneyland is forced to shut the ride down for days or weeks. Luckily, this treatment was quick, and the ride was only down for a few hours. If you are visiting Disneyland Resort, you can always check the Disneyland app for current ride closures at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
